I'd like to read it at some point too.

Hopefully a japanese person uploaded it somewhere since konami's mobile comic service no longer exists.

This game was flawed in ways but i thoroughly enjoy it. I still play LoS and think that certain LoI elements could've been used. But whenever the Konami 2D Sprite All-Stars game comes out (no such thing) Leon surely would be a fine addition.  :P

The game is fine the way it is. The backstories should have been fleshed out more though. If a 2D remake was ever made, it should be metroidvania style but without leveling. The lack of leveling was one of the things that gave LoI some decent difficulty. Leveling is something which is in virtually every other post-sotn game and that is why they seem to be so easy. Taking away leveling up and placing HP, MP, and Heart upgrades in specific locations in the different areas is one of the things I liked about LoI.

I honestly love LoI as it is. I really enjoy the graphic style, and while the stages are fairly repetitive, there are really interesting platforming areas and the boss battles were really cool. I'm actually replaying it again now. It has such neat atmosphere between the graphics and the music.

The only thing I really dislike about LoI is the layout/copy pasting in the House of Sacred Remains, the level is only challenging because everything looks the same and it's confusing.

Speaking of which-Did anyone else ever try looking at the official Bradygames Guide for LoI? That has to be one of the worst written/edited "guides" I've ever seen. There was no sense of orientation in the bare bones direction, so you'd get things like "go left here" and you'd just have to guess what direction the person was facing when they wrote it, and I remember sometimes the directions were just flat out wrong/reversed. Didn't take me long to just forget the written walkthrough and only use the maps/item guides. Enjoyed the game much more after that.

Yeah, everything looks really cool there the first time you see it. Then you enter the next room or hallway and... it's the same.  :(

Other levels do basically the same thing, but seriously, how many alters does a church need? Jeeze.

Well, its castlevania, they just throw in whatever. Then do the copy paste.
