Recently they gave me a brand new PSMove for my 24th birthday (thanks mom!  :))
I've been playing a couple games. Okami looks more beautiful than ever, and the same wonderful game that it's still today my favourite non Castlevania game.
And GalGun really seemed funny. You have to wander around the streets (and schools) of Japan shooting magic liquid to schoolgirls, trying to aim to certain zones in order to get more points.
Certainly a strange concept, very ecchi, and of course not less funny because of that.
Feel free to use this thread for talking about GalGun, Okami and other PSMove recommendations (now that I have it I want to try different games).
Have fun!

I think I saw a trailer for that one lol. Hm never played Okami but I hear that gameplay-wise the 3D Zeldas are very similar. You could pick up a gamecube or wii cheap and get Windwaker and Twilight Princess. Ahh Midna is such a Tsundere, but a well made one.

@Ratty: Yes, Twilight Princess shares some gameplay aspects with Okami, I always found them very alike.

@Aridale: I read basic japanese, if it's possible I'll be doing N3 examination this december.

@TheouAegis: Many times anime voices sound familiar to me, but I don't know who did her voice.

One of the girls is voiced by Yui Horie. Singer/voice actress with a long history in anime. Way long -- like back when I was a kid. The little angel girl's actress was in the My-HiME series, among some others. A couple of the names in the credits I do recognize along with their voices.

Is there anyone from my favourite animes?
Say, for example, Rosario to Vampire, Sora No Otoshimono, Kore Wa Zombie / Kore Wa Zombie Desu Ka, Dance in the Vampire Bund, Cyber Team in Akihabara, Elfen Lied, Magipoka, Moetan, Mayoi Neko Overrun...

I know Yui Horie is in Cyberteam in Akihabara.
I am not really familiar with female voice actors.

But I can name some male voice actors just by listening to some lines.  ;D

Really!? That's impressive! I am always familiar with kind of voices in anime... like the common stereotypes (the hero, his friend, the energetic girl, the nerd, the athletic ones, etc.).
But I can't recognize specific actors or actresses.

Hmmm... I suppose that came with the territory of being a massive fan of certain shows and the tendency for male voice actors to be typecasted.

I was always the same way with Megumi Hayashibara when I was in college. I crushed so hard on her voice. Not so much on her, but on her voice. I could nearly always tell when a character was voiced by her. When I put Paprika on Japanese audio, needless to say the nostalgia trip brought great joy to my aging heart. I had the same type of crush on Lisa Oritz, Megumi's US counterpart in many anime. I'm not physically attracted to Lisa at all, but I've always loved her voice and when I heard her in Pokemon movies, I'd nearly squeal like an excited little girl.

So you might say that her voice cast a spell on you to the point that you wanted to be her Dragon Slave eh?

That was one of my very first anime I ever rented from the video store. Prior to that I didn't know what anime was. ... Urotsukidouji taught me what anime was. Very first anime rental (to distinguish from anime seen on TV, which probably amounted to Sonic and Tekkaman): Urotsukidouji, Vampire Princess Miyu OVA 1 and 2, Slayers vol. 1, Record Of Lodoss War vol. 1. My life was changed forever thenceforth. I was 16 or 17 at the time.
Coincidentally, Parn and Nagumo shared the same voice actor. :D

Don't you mean it was one of the very first Japanimations you rented? I recently watched the original Record of Lodoss War (on the old "US Manga Corps." VHS set no less) and I think I probably would have liked it more as a kid lol. It shows it's roots as a D&D campaign pretty clearly, I just keep wondering if Deedlet was an NPC, she must have been because it'd have been hella awkward to have that romance between two player characters if the players weren't actually dating. Still kinda awkward between player and DM. Love how right after two of the characters die two other characters of similar classes suddenly meet the surviving characters on the road and join the party lol.

But I guess we're really getting off topic here, perhaps we should start a retro anime thread?
