No one here's buying the game? Well, your lose, I wanted to discuss it as I'm already playing it (or was.. my HDD fried) man it really shows up how far we've come AND how far we can go, 6 hours in, this game is a masterpiece, the way it blends story, gameplay, best  tech in the bussiness (not a single loading screen and looks gorgeus and it's big as hell) has me with no words.

And dogs!!

You can have sex in the garden, explicit, without mods. I know because of these video leaks. Its rated 18+ or they will wait until something bad happen like happened with Coffee thing?

Dancers show breasts and all, but it's all your choice, you can't fault the developers for that lol

Im not faulting anyone lol
Im only asking if they protected themselves putting the correct rating, its ever cool to have options, but you know that some fathers will come and say some shit in a trial if they dont rate it right. :)

Can you create a unique character or do you have no choice but to play the established stock character from the earlier games? That's one of a couple of reasons why I never got into GTA, but own almost all of the Saint's Row games.

None of the above, the game features three fully fleshed characters with great backstory and special abilities (you lplay as the three /at the same time/, Saints Row can't touch /this/ special game (and I just finished IV) go get it.!
GTA and Saints Row are different beasts, V especially has a cinematic quality to it I think it's unmatched, they actually hired film directors and directors of photography, and SR cities feel dead and empty compared to this, it's like it's /real/

Hey! The producers said that we could create our character! So they are lying?! >:(
They even said how the character creation was in GTA V, that instead of selecting how it would be like in any other game, we would choose his parents and his hobbies, then our character would be generated based on that.

GTA was always pretty great, but it's the same game over and over and over. And reviews are always 10/10. I dunno. There are more interesting games to spend my cash on. Sorry :(

In multiplayer O.o

@Shelverton: i dunno man this special GTA is, well, special, I'm actually sure Tomb Raider had a higher obligatory body count. It's all about the heists now. Believe me you don't have a better game to spend your money on.

So just how special is this new entry? What does it have to top previous games in the series? What's its main hook? Go ahead and share.
Because otherwise, you know, I'm pretty happy with the GTA's I already own...

Sometimes I feel like I'm one of the very few who have not cared about this series in any way since Vice City. Based on how much hyped most people I know are about this.

Each time a new GTA is released, all my gaming friends stop being normal people. I wish I could be more like them and less...dunno...unimpressed by all these HUGE releases. I'm sure GTA5 is a great game, and I will probably pick it up someday. Had the game been Yakuza 5, I would've been hysterical right now, but I never have anyone to share my excitement with. Cause people genuinely thinks my taste in gaming is rubbish :D And by the look of it, I'm forced to start caring about the GTAs and CODs and WOWs of the world cause my favorite franchises are deader than Dracula in 1999. At least outside Japan.

Yakuza games are great games, if not a bit stiff in control/animations.

But GTA seems to deserve all it's praises from what I've seen. (I won't pick it up til a PC release though, or later in teh game if PC doesn't happen.)

None of the above

That's disappointing. The game's environment and such looks very pristine and interactive, but what would draw me more to this game is if it had a character creation mode. Not for multiplayer online, but for a single player in-game. I'd rather run around with someone of whom I created then a set character I don't like. Another of the reasons why I don't own any of the GTA games is due to them (besides being virtually the same entry every time like Joe Madden's football or NHL) is that they are just a little too serious for my liking. That's what I've come to like about Saint's Row. The first two  games were on a more serious tone, but even then the over-the-top nature of saint's row the third and IV had it's seeds planted in the second game. I bet GTA doesn't have a fast food chain called 'Freckle Bitch's' lol!
