Apologies if this has been done before. I didn't bother to check.
I just translated IGA's comments on page 6 because I have some free time. why IGA's? Well, since his commentary has the lesser amount of Kanjis = lesser effort to translate. hehe. And besides, it is shorter than Hagihara's.
This was way back in December 1997, for those who don't know. Asterisks are my comments.

It has been since forever that I've wanted to work on Dracula. Thanks to my work on [Tokimeki]*, I was finally given the opportunity to be part of the team and work on the scenario, enemy system and tokimeki.
Eh? What is "tokimeki" you ask? It happened in this instance. When I was thinking of the [My cursed blood] scenario, I was requested to proofread the [I love you] scenario... I had to do some brain switching, and it was very tiring.
[Symphony of the Night]'s scenario was written by 2 people but due to the tempo of the game, I was in tears on some parts that I had to cut off. Since I wanted to write a lot more stuff... If there is an opportunity to do so, that would be great... **
Apart from all those things, the most important one is to make the game fun. I worked hard to create the best Dracula!!
                                                                        IGA

*Tokimeki pertains to "Tokimeki Memorial", a dating simulation game that IGA wrote the scenario for.
** Yeah, he got the chance in Nocturne of Recollection, a radio drama the deals with 1 year after SotN. But now I am wondering about the stuff that went to the cutting room floor.

Sadly we don't have much info about stuff cut from SotN, do we? Just a few hints like the sound files for that deleted "bad" ending and the trap door at the entrance way that got converted into leading to the underground garden in the Saturn version. That might actually be something for someone to ask IGA one day but I wonder if he would even feel he could answer anymore given his departure from Konami. I suppose he did talk a lot about the design of SotN in his recent talk so who knows. Sometimes cut content is on a whole other level though (for some devs/pubs anyway) and they like to keep that hush hush.
