Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2: Dragon Edition for the XB1, PS4 and PC. Port being done by Climax Sutdios, includes the DLC Revelations and some new extra content never before scene on previous versions. It will be slated for a Fall 2014 release.

I actually would look forward to a DLC announcement if the DLC looks good, but I don't think that it would take E3 to do that.

A decent remake of LoS2 would require such a massive overhaul that developing a new game would take comparatively less effort. That, and the fact that the chances for any more LoS2 content are essentially null, keep me from being particularly optimistic about the matter.

Besides, as far as I'm concerned, Lords of Shadow is best put to rest for the time being. Honestly, I'd rather pretend LoS2 never existed than risk endlessly mulling about how good it could have been. I've done that enough already -- I just hope Konami has the sense to spare me that headache in the future.

Well, to be fair, the gameplay is quite solid and they could reuse the Castle assets, along with a few other environment assets. But, as you said, a remake would be needed to iron out the story and put it out in a better fashion. Personally, I'd recommend going from the first time Zobek and Gabriel talked in his hideout, after the family scene, and then work from there. Perhaps put shades of Carmilla in there, to tempt Gabriel and such.

Someone claimed Konami wasn't happy with the LoS series and that a new original series game was coming, but it wasn't in the usual time the confirmed leak guy used to post, iirc.  Of course, someone also claimed Simon Belmot is in Smash.  A lot of fake stuff going around at right now.

One of the last things the confirmed leak guy said, soon after LoS2 came out, was that Konami hadn't much interest in 2d CV anymore, even though they made money on Mirror of Fate.  He also said they hadn't decided anything about what to do with the franchise next.

On the other hand, we had that info from Bergaron about a new Japanese-focused game being developed like a year ago, so who really knows at this point..

Personally, the thing that makes it seem unlikely to me for 'SotN 2' is IGA's departure.  If they were making that, it'd be partly to bank on nostalgia/fan good will, so they'd absolutely want the series 'front man' there working on it, I'd say..

Im surprised you guys are even expecting anything CV related at E3, so soon after LoS2 wrapped up.

Next year at least, but I doubt we'd be seeing any new CV news this E3

also, people claiming LoS to have disappointed Konami are never legit, just people who didn't like LoS.

That said, we dont know either way, but DO know from Cox that LoS2 sold less than LoS1.
