Alucard is the type of guy that seems designed to be alone. "Keeping his cursed bloodline for himself" is a big part of his character, and he appears to be naturally detached from matters of love and affection. Even if Alucard/Maria is implied by the game's ending, I think pairing both is very weak and detracts from what Alucard really is, so ya not alone in this.

I have to agree but it seems to be something in Japanese anime, games and all their media to make this: the power of love can change you piece of crap sorry but it's true hahahaha

And don't get me wrong I always loved even preferred Japanese games, animes and stuff but as I got older I kind of tried to avoid all this fan service stuff. It's not like it offends me I just avoid and try to enjoy the close to reality ones. But for me Maria just saw dat incredible beautiful man and had to give him her virginity ASAP and that's all there is! Without her Alucard life would be the same.
