Skipped a lot until the question on ATB.
There is an ATB gauge but attacks don't have to wait until the gauge is full, this is where the action style of gameplay is connected to.
They called the new system ATB but it is not the ATB that fans were used to.
The more important part to look out for is when the gauge turns red...
