First post-Kojima Metal Gear game has been announced as Metal Gear Survive. Releasing in 2017, it's a co-op survival game where you play as a soldier left behind on Mother Base who is pulled into an alternate universe that is infested with some kind of creatures resembling zombies. Doesn't look that bad, honestly. Coming to PS4, Xbone, and Steam.

The concept sounds kinda 'meh' to me. I don't see MGS intermingling very well with a zombie-esque theme. I'll have to see more on what it's about exactly but I'm not holding my breath.

Well, that's a thing.  I'm going to go into a full rant outrage *redacted* and now I'll hug a baby like Norman Reedus.

(My actual feelings of this is more of a slightly amused but otherwise unimpressed state).

I'm glad their continuing to make console games!

But this concept takes metal gear (a unique game) and makes it look like every other zombie shooter out there.

Still, it might be cool...

I'm pretty sure Konami is cooking some new Castlevania for us too.

Konami will not be selling Metal Gear Survive at full price. While they have not named a price yet, it's confirmed that upon its release in 2017, the game will be coming out brand new at less than $60. I'd say a good estimate is in the $30-40 range. Either way, that's pretty good, especially for those skeptical about it.

Before I wanted Konami to try their hand at Castlevania without IGA. Now, after watching this, I want them to STAY THE HELL AWAY from Castlevania. They'll turn it into a tactical espionage action game or soccer game.
