The map reminds me of Curse of Darkness's map, but the only difference is that it's a different angle, and will likely have way more platforming than CoD ever had, being a 2D game and all. But yeah, that looks like the coast area from CoD's map, as well as the little island where Dracula's Castle was(though it looks more like a prison or lighthouse in OoE).

So I can't just buy that particular issue off a shelf somewhere?

You can buy Nintendo Power at almost any Bookstore, Grocery store, Walmart, ShopKo, Meijer, or really most places that have a decent magazine selection in the US.

I got my issue in the mail today.
East Coast always gets it later. :\

Also, anyone think the art for OoE looks suspiciously like the art for CotM (character-wise, not the profile close-up shots)?

It just seems that way to me, at least a little.  Maybe it's the darkness around the male character's eyes, reminds me of the art for Nathan.

I'm gonna see if Nintendo Power is available in Stockholm too, I think I've seen it in some magazine store a while ago. So, if you can get it here, you most likely can get it anywhere!

I've been looking for it near my neck of the woods, but nothing yet. (Which sucks, since the July issue of almost every other magazine, I've found.)  I figure I'll have it by Tuesday, since that's when the store I know sales it will have it.

Overall, I'm excited. The game looks awesome.

The long-awaited gameplay trailer! It looks nice, but damn- just look how many normal enemies are reused.

I wish they would have truly animated an opening instead of animating still pictures.

Still looks very interesting.  They did use a lot of old enemies, but that's to be expected any more.

I like the idea of the glyphs becoming tattooed on her, and I really like the voice actress.  She has a very elegant and beautiful sounding voice.

Pfft! Just try drawing that kind of detail over 60 frames. The reason they're not fully animated is because they are very high quality drawings.

Finally we get to see it and hear it in motion. Thankyou for posting it.

Anyone else think the music feels underwhelming? I watched the trailer twice and that tune didnt quite stick with me. I hope that song is more robust in the final version, because it's too reminiscent of POR's stuff.

The areas shown look very varied, but on the other hand, I'm not sure all those visual themes and styles look right when shown in succession. Some levels look like they're outta HOD, while others near Symphony's grandeur, dare I say. We shall see how it all meshes.

Of particular note, I found the pirate ship level looks better than ever, and the crab fight looks entertaining. I also like the weird addition of the glowing enemies and seeing all the different attacks Shanoa can use and knowing that's just the tip of that iceberg.

Her sprite animation could use some work. Anyone else think of Chronicle's Simon when she runs? :P

So far it definitely alreadly looks like a more thought out and skilled effort, and I can't wait to see more.

That waterfall in the trailer looks identical with the one in SOTN.

It's nice that they atleast remaked The Creature.
