Yay, I got the videos to load! ;D

Anyway, I thought the backrounds were pretty good, nothing making it much better than Portrait of Ruin though (in that particular level). The music was nothing special, but I suppose it wasn't bad. The boss fight was okay, but it looked really easy. The Monestary looks very unexciting, and I look forward to more original levels such as the pirate ship level. I don't know what's wrong with Shanoa's sprite. I actually think she looks great, probably my favorite sprite-wise. I also love the whole backflip thing used to dash away from enemies. I think the enemy design looks great, like those siren-ish things. Overall, I still think it looks very good. I can't wait to fight the giant skull boss.

So the narrator is without doubt Albus.  He's a member of Ecclesia and is not Barlowe(he mentions him by name).  So are there still people out there who think he won't turn out a hero?
I am Jerkofwonder.

Perhaps the best feeling so far with Order of Ecclesia -- aside from that fact that the game feels like a direct offspring of Portrait of Ruin, and plays beautifully -- is the vibe we got while walking into the new level, only to find we were met by completely unfamiliar company. New enemies attacked from both sides, some of which were newly created versions of zombies and ghosts, but the majority completely new fiends with new attack patterns and behaviors. Between the glyph system's reliance on magic, the "out of the castle" feel of the game, and the all new enemies, this is the first time since Symphony of the Night that a free-roaming version of the game hasn't felt like a direct clone of Symphony of the Night.

If such is the case, then I'm not concerned.  And the stages don't look bad to me.

Seems there are some shapeshifting-glyphs. The screens look great. I am very curious about OoE.

I wish Konami had decided to start off the game with a more exciting area than the Monastery, which is clearly one of the weaker areas in the game. =/

The videos: Well we've seem most of this before haven't w, but Shanoa's backdash is pretty awsome. I agree though, the boss fight was kinda underwhelming, I mean Dullahan put up a decent fight in PoR.

Screens though: pretty awsome, nice mix of areas, even more interestingly though it seems there will be a whole bunch of new enemies and interesting looking ones at that.

Yeah the Monestary is a very unexciting level, which annoys me, considering that they put it in the videos, even though we've already SEEN it before. It looks very Portrait of Ruin-esque.

Meh, I wasn't expecting too much from the first level to be honest and I'm happy that if it's a 'weaker' level, they put it first and out of the way so we can get to the more interesting parts, like the village, underwater stage, beach shore (the 3D ship, I hope we get a video of that), the kinda creepy looking skeleton stage (I love the boss battle arena for the skeleton/tongue monster.).  It's reminding me of CV2 and Bloodlines honestly, which I'm really loving. (It's what PoR and it's portraits should have been.)

Though the thing that surprised me about the videos was that the person playing was actually decent. I'm not sure if they *made* the first stage look decent or if was actually that easy and that guy from the 7 min. video just completely sucks.

There's a beach shore level? I didn't see that!

I can't remember if it was Nintendo Power or IGN that mentioned it, but I think the level with the large 3D ship in the background is suppose to be that level.  I'll have to go back and reread both their previews (IGN's previous one before the new pre E3 preview.)

I rememeber the boat, but I haven't seen anything more for that level, due to my lack of Nintendo Power subscription.

Obviously you'll traverse some beach/lake/oceanic areas because eventually you come to a lighthouse, which is it's own little area.

OK!! The first stage doesn't impress me and so does the boss battle. The story music is awesome and from what i have seen from the screens all the other stages are looking awesome. I just hope that the same goes and for the music on them.

This is so awesome. Best graphics i've seen on a new Castlevania game, after Symphony of The Night!!!!

This one also looking cool!!

And this one i'm 100% sure is from the level with the 3D ship!!
