I prefer many many things in Metroid over CV, but not the music. Which is maybe because I really enjoy classical music, doesn't matter if modern or classic. The Metroid soundtracks (aside from M2) are really great though.

Prime 1 had an amazing soundtrack. Have you heard the Alternate Title Theme?

Metroid can have amazing music, but I prefer CV, Mega Man, and Ys music over it actually.

I love Kraid's Lair's theme, and Prime 1's title though.

Great. Way better than the other one. And we also get to see some more of Chanoix' sexy back.

Nice picture!!!  Much better than the other one.  The only problem with this one is that it makes Albus look like Shinoa's partner simular to Jonathan and Charlotte from PoR, which is not how the game is going to be.

i believe the artist is trying to convey the opposition of the characters by 1) having them face away from each other and 2) having Albus face away from the viewer and Shanoa turning towards the viewer.

it does work from an artistic point of view..

if you look at the PoR cover you can see how Charlotte is turned towards Jonathan conveying some sort of bond and that they are both facing the viewer.

It does kind of make them look like partners, but I'll forgive the artist for that since it's an amazing piece.

I will say, I do dig that artwork.  That's one sexy-ass back, too...

I actually like that box art even a little more than some of the non-anime ones, if I be so bold to state.

I can agree with that.  It's very well stylized, and the background even resembles the old CVIII and IV art a bit, with the colors used.

I also like that the characters are attempting at action, rather than just standing there... although Shanoa is still standing there, heh.

I like action shots more than poses.  This is a good blend 'cuz the guy is doing an action.

I never thought I'd say this, but that is actually one of the best cover artworks I've seen in the history of Castlevania.  :o

Only HoD and SotN looked better, IMO.

So that's the American boxart? Wow, finally, something good instead of horrible art like DoS and PoR.

Shelverton, do you mean this SotN cover?:

Great game, but I always thought it was one of the most weakest CV covers ever. It almost looks photoshopped. Unless you mean the Japanese cover, which is better, but the Japanese always get cooler covers than the American covers. American always gets the weak photoshop-looking covers.

Oh, I completely forgot about the terrible american SotN cover. I meant the japanese/european cover with Alucard :)
