Hidden Class In Etrian Odyssey Nexus (Alucard rip-off or...?)

So recently players discovered a hidden class in Etrian Odyssey several months after the game released. How does relate to Castlevania you ask? Well...

(click to show/hide)

It's a straight up Alucard rip-off. The question is whether or not Konami approved this or not. If they did, that might have some interesting implications...

To be honest there is very little about Alucard that Konami could rightfully copyright.
They can't copyright the name, that's from one of the Dracula films.

But, yeah, that class is a definite homage if not an approved easter egg.

Nah, it's ok. A homage is great. At least, people don't forget. :)

Malice Mizer did song called “月下の夜想曲” (gekka no yasoukyoku), which was also the Japanese title of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.  Also, when Gackt started his solo career, in his video for the song "Mizerable", he wore an Alucard costume (which was made into a ball joined doll by the company who makes Pullip)

Is this a playable character?  Is this (or the rest of the game) interesting enough that I should check it out?

Yeah, it's a playable class.  It's hidden, though. There's no consensus on what exactly you have to do to unlock it, last time I heard. If you like old dungeon crawlers like Wizardry, you might like this.
