Wow, this spiralled out of control. I'll just reiterate the point (if it's already been made) that Stoker did not come up with the reincarnation story.
DISCLAIMER: I haven't read (most of) the novel Dracula.

That's exactly right and the dracula in stokers book was also more human in that he could venture out in the daytime no problem he just couldn't exhibit his full power and was like a normal guy, just a bit faster. Stoker made him out like an anomoly which is cool and what I love about the book. Satan didn't send him to earth through a pact or anything like that he's just here and is trying to survive like the rest of us.

Here's my question what about the vampire that ruled the demon castle before mathias/dracula? doesn't that make him the first incarnation of dracula or will iga make him just another stepping stone backwards in history possibly making a caveman castlevania game where you have a club that eventually becomes the hilt of the vampire killer?

He was a powerful vampire.  He was not the dark lord, Dracula doesn't become the dark lord until a little before Cv3.

mathias receives his powers from the stone witch at one point in time was in possesion by walter
they say the stone is how dracula keeps getting reborn
well then doesn't that by logical thought mean that walter was reborn into mathias thus making the thought possible
that bastard the lord of darkness is a lot older than just what is told

Ok.  You have some things wrong, I'll fill you in on how it worked. (don't wanna sound mean, just know a lot about this series story).
Walter never had the crimson stone, he even mentions when he is dying that "I(Walter) could not obtain the crimson stone, but one day it will be mine!"  He says this because his powers are so strong that they will kind of auto-revive him after a while, as he later says "With my powers, I will surely come back to life.".  Now it could either be for the same reason, his control over death, or even becomeing the dark lord (since he never died prior to having this title) that regenerates Dracula every 100 years.  It seems likely that it is just because he is a powerful vampire, as Walter apparently had regeration powers aswell.

Yes this is how it happened.  This may also be how drac gained the ability to "auto-revive" every 100 years, assuming his underlings don't revive him first.

nobody said walter had control over death though.

the fact that he appears only at the very end together with mathias, and only to take walter's soul suggests more that walter had a deal with them, that as long as he keeps his part of the deal death will leave his soul alone, hence he'll be able to resurrect. but then mathias comes, orders death to take walter's soul and sacrifice it to his crimson stone.

then walter's all "hey mathias, dude we had an agreement. i was supposed to bite this guy's girlfriend, make her a vampire and make him emo, and you were supposed to keep death away from me so that i wouldn't be sent to hell and be able to return in case i died. you traitorous swine."

I never said Walter had control over death.  I said whoever had the crimson stone did, Walter never had it.  And no, it is Walter's immense power that revives him, he says exactly this... "With my powers, I will surely come back to life."
