For those who don't understand how drac can be in this game if it is a SotN sequel, you should remember that only five years passed between RoB and SotN, with drac in both.  The fact is that drac can be revived by his minions if there is a human sacrifice.  The 100 rule is only relevant in regards to him resurrecting "naturally".

In other words, if drac's minions don't resurrect him within 100 years, he will resurrect on his own.  However, as far as I know, if he is resurrected by his minions, he will lack his full power at first.  So, based on this, he is stronger when he resurrects "naturally".

My thoughts on this has something to do with the Radio Drama and just Alucard himself. Perhaps displaying an Image of just himself probably means that the game is about him and his life. This will probably go into detail about how Dracula found Lisa and perhaps some other plot holes in the cv series about Alucard that wasn't explained.

If thats the case then I will very much like this game if it also had either 2d or 2.5 or God of war style.

In other words, you think that this could be sort of like "A History of Alucard."  Kind of like what was done with the DBZ character Trunks.

Actually, Dracula doesn't revive on his own. He still needs to be revived by someone, but the 100 years thing is only when he gains full power. His cycle hasn't been interrupted either due to the amount of time he's been alive outside the cycle.

So, if that's true, how many times have we actually fought him at full power?

Trevor, Christopher, Simon, Richter, Quincy, and Julius all fought Dracula at his full strength, each 100 years apart from the 1490s through 1999.  There's still two full resurrections without a game, Quincy Morris's and Julius Belmont's, and a lot of the games they're coming out with now are all about building up to those events.

Shanoa could also be the first non-Belmont to fight Dracula at full power.

There's also The Arcade and The Medal.

This won't be an SoTN sequel because Alucard goes to sleep after SoTN and making it a sequel would invalidate the game's ending.

It won't be the 1999 game because chances are, we'd be looking at Soma or Julius (or maybe even Hammer ;) )in that picture if it were.

It will most likely be 3D because it's going to consoles and that's what the trend seems to be these days.

Shanoa could also be the first non-Belmont to fight Dracula at full power.

Shanoa DOESN'T fight Dracula at full power. From what I recall hearing, OoE takes place sometime in the mid-1800s. The year isn't specifically given, but it's around then. In the 1800s, Dracula is ONLY at full power in the year of 1897. Hence, the events of Bram Stoker's Dracula tell the story of the battle against Dracula at full power. Of course, CV's version WILL differ, but it's Quincy who will be the one to face Dracula at full power. I'm guessing, since IGA stated he'd love to make a game about these events, Quincy will kill Dracula with the VK, and not the bowie knife.

This won't be an SoTN sequel because Alucard goes to sleep after SoTN and making it a sequel would invalidate the game's ending.

The SotN Radio Drama most likely retcons Alucard going to sleep. Also, who's to say he DID go to sleep? Talk is cheap. Maybe he PLANNED on going to sleep, but other things came up, which naturally delayed his slumber.

Why do people expect this to be SOTN remake? Enough with remake. We already had like few more than 2 castlevania remake. No need to make another castlevania remake.
Anyway, I hope this new games will be less COD. Less repeative like you seen in Dracula castle in COD. WE WANT PURE ADVENTURE/ACTION castlevania game!
