it's funny that since Resurrection, i've been waiting for an American developer to take a crack at Castlevania (Order of Shadows doesn't count).

Yeah same here. I wouldve liked to see how resurrection turned out despite its flaws. It also seems like every department in Konami is trying their hand in the Castlevania series.

That is probably my biggest fear.
It brings back memories of Contra: Legacy of War & C: The Contra Adventure.

well, now with Iga off the helm of 3D games (I remember he said something like "as long as I'm around, there will be no resurrection for Resurrection"), I wonder if there's a chance we might get to Resurrection elements one of these days.

Could be very possible we might get a sex goddess in future games. They obviously (since kojima state for years to come) have planned to keep doing this. So if we dont get Sonia we might get someone similar. I just wonder if they will include Alucard in their storyline because of his popularity.

Yeah, things storywise can start getting confusing and out of hand the more teams with different visions start making games, like in the period between SotN and HoD.  It made for some great games though, but storywise, Iga had to come in and set things straight and set up a consistent vision for Castlevania.

Dunno. After reviewing everything I've seen so far, both trailer wise, and now how the story goes (thanks for the link), I'm pretty much 50/50 on this. I defiantly want to see how it will emerge as a game and the potential is there but it doesn't (for now) seem very much like Castlevania.

Um, again, it hasn't felt like Castlevania since before SotN. Castlevania has changed before, and will continue to change. If anything, that's what they all have in common, is that each entry is different from the last.

Would you say SCIV doesn't feel like a Castlevania game? Or Bloodlines? Or perhaps even Dracula X? They all bring something unique to the table, but they aren't any less worthy of being called a Castlevania game.

I guess I can see why he would be angry or sad on Iga's behalf, but people need to understand that its a business.

It's the Iga/SotN humping like that which makes me question whether I should call myself a Castlevania fan. Seriously, people need to let go of Iga's tit, and grow up to appreciate things regardless of whether or not they're the same rehashed shit we've been getting for years.

To say the least, this game is causing a huge uproar. It is getting the peoples attention. It isn't another symphony clone leaving people saying "oh cool. I bet that will be fun because the other Castlevanias were fun." Eventually, after about five more metroidvanias, I think more people would welcome this overhaul. So why not now, before it grows tiresome?
Go. Set Forth! Both your own life and hers are at stake.

Guys I understand you must like making opinions on what IGA is doing.

IF SOMEONE!!
Could!

Please send an e-mail or something to konami or kojima pro or some reviewer  to ask and see WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO IGA!

Thank you

If people wanna support IGA and hump Symphony, let them. We can also voice our concerns with this project just like others can praise it. Cool, right?

If you let others feelings question your loyalty to cv, then you don't even deserve to call yourself a fan in the first place.
