What I liked about the original Forgotten One was that it looked like a creature of pure pain and torture. Almost like something from Clive Barker's mind. I giant skinned, hanging torso, suspended by large meat hooks, rotting giant maggots, exposed organs, blood flowing spilling out like water, with an S&M torture mask on it's large head. Then, finally revealing it's face, it's a giant rotting demon face.

I still think this Forgotten One looks like FFXII's Chaos:

Or something from every other cliche'd story with a dark hero.

The similarity with that FF's thing is.. uncanny.
Hope it's a coincidence though, I still see mimilarities between this one and IGA's.

Everything comes full circle

LoS described the Forgotten One as "one of the old gods whose name was lost to the ages." Probably a departure from the LoI original, but certainly a better character description than IGA's one-line wonder. And how do we know that thing isn't going to get bloodied up in the battle? For all we know, Resurrection could conclude with those huge chains in the background ripping the Forgotten One apart, Hellraiser style.

Regardless this incarnation of the Forgotten One doesn't resemble his LoI counterpart in the slightest.

As Cornell doesn't resemble his LoD counterpart in the slightest, except for the waist area clothing.

And pretty much everything else in this game bears little to no resemblance to other Castlevania's, this redesign was expected and expecting it to look like the Forgotton One from LoI was wishfull thinking.

Truth be told, I couldn't care less about how TFO looked in this game as long as it wasn't another annoying titan fight, just be glad that it isn't instead of complaining about how it looks.

I have a feeling it could end up being a Titan fight. That thing looks huge.
What a horrible night to have a curse!

He vaguely resembles a Megazord from Power Rangers. Well, maybe like an evil one the baddies would use. Maybe a mix between a Guyver and a Megazord. Man, the geekdom is really coming out of me today : o

TFO has his horns.
Cornell has his belt.
Gabriel is basically another design for Simon. That's how Simon was gonna look in the original idea for the game (a Castlevania 1 remake), just a little younger.

I think that's the extent of the relations.

I don't care at all, either. It's already been established that things from this game are not at all like what we're used to. I wouldn't be surprised nor care if Juste Belmont showed up as a fat black woman. Anything is possible here : p

Not that I think that's cool, or anything, but at this point... what's the point of caring?
