No one said it has to be Trevor who fights them. Also, just because they were escaping, doesn't mean they couldn't have encountered someone from the quartet.

And how was that a blunder by IGA? He just wrote two characters into the story without retconning anything about DC.

I thought it was confirmed that Trevor and his friends never encountered the two Forgemasters because Hector was escaping while Isaac was in pursuit. So when Dracula died, Isaac was already far away from where Trevor and his friends would be.

Yeah, I thought in CoD it was thrown out there that Dracula was weakened when Trevor fought him because Hector had already betrayed him.  If that's the case, it wouldn't make sense for Hector and Isaac to be fighting on the same side, at all, unless it was some sort of pre-CVIII thing.

It would have helped if Hector or Isaac had a Devil that Strongly resembled a certain boss from Cv3.

In Japanese version of the game he is a japanese student. Japanese version usually overwrights whatever Western translators put in the game. So as of now Soma is a japanese student.
And he is a reincarnation of the Dracula - that's why he had his abilities. ???
Wait, what?
Am I the only one who never seen the problem with this? In the Japanese game, he's Japanese. Konami, a Japanese game developer, made the reincarnation a Japanese teenager.... MIND BLOWN!!!  :o

Seriously, if Americans made that story, I'm sure as hell to bet they'd make Soma American, just like Europeans would make him native to THEIR own countries.

As for Hector and Isaac, didn't Isaac believe the reason Dracula was defeated was because they weren't there to "protect" him? He blames Hector from as a turncoat, for abandoning the Master. Not to mention, both Hector and Isaac's powers were drawn from Dracula's(one of the reasons why Dracula needed one of them as his vessel to be revived in CoD). Of course, what Isaac thinks is beyond the actual point. Didn't Zead/Death lead him on, use him just to bring Hector(the suitable host) back? I can see a battle in a remake of CV3 where you fight Hector, then after you defeat him, there's the whole, "Wait a minute... this isn't right" type of speech where Hector realizes he shouldn't be fighting Trevor and crew because of what Dracula's doing. Then Trevor letting Hector leave, as Hector gives Trevor and crew his blessing to put an end to the Dark Lord. Then later, you encounter Isaac, who's searching for "the coward" Hector, you battle him, but the battle ends with his escape.

A Japanese person who has silver hair and the surname Cruz..

Hector can't encounter Trevor in DC. He didn't immediately recognize him in CoD. A fight with another member of the crew (or all of them) is kind of not-contradicting. A stretch, though, since Trevor told him that there were "other brave warriors" fighting with him.

Regarding Hector and Issac, Trevor and friends cannot not have encountered them.  Hector was escaping and Issac was ordered to bring him back.  If you read the manga, which is not cannon and has been discontinued, you would know that at the time that Trevor was in the castle fighting Dracula, Hector and Issac were fighting each other.  During which they both stop for a second when they sense that Dracula has been defeated.  At that moment, something enters Issac and his personally changes completely.  This is likely when the curse took hold of him.

Isn't that the Japanese way of spelling Cruz?

I always thought his Japanese name translated to "Cross," Cruz being a mistranslation for the localized release.

Though having Spanish origins isn't strange in Castlevania. The Lecardes are originally from Spain, then there's the whole Belnades/Fernandez issue. Maybe even Hector.

It could have been so much better, if they went with this idea.
