Who says IGA's out? Nobody knows.
Also, he made some pretty damn fine games (and a few pretty damn lousy ones too, but there's bound to be some bad games in a series as expansive as Castlevania).

I'm also glad Iga is out. He should have left after Sotn. So many chances and he pissed them away.

Careful, IGA may be lurkin, and you most likely just made him cry.
Go. Set Forth! Both your own life and hers are at stake.

Sure the series could've become something different, but the should'ves & could'ves are irrelevant. The fact is that IGA was the man keeping CV afloat this past decade, like it or not.

Lets get back on topic before all the "ARGHH I HATE IGA" banter starts to kick in (which it already has).

I hope there will be alternative outfits available for Gabriel, not that there's anything wrong with his armor, but some variety would be nice..

My main curiosity is what wacky things LoS might do with historical events/figures. In Bloodlines, Elizabeth Bartley/Bathory/whatever somehow caused World War I. Mathias Cronqvist, based on Vlad the Impaler's rival Mathias Corvinus, somehow becomes Dracula himself. There was even a real life painter named Victor Brauner who bears a striking resemblance to Bela Lugosi's Dracula.

Makes you wonder why the Japanese name of LoS is Castlevania even though the Japs don't like that.  :-X

Another possibility could be that they didn't want to give the Akumajou Dracula title to a game that was developed outside of Japan.
It's like Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, but instead it's Who Wants Fried Chicken? I do.

Lets face it...IGA didn't run the series into the ground. It very well could have died out before now without him, and I certainly don't really hate him. I've gotten plenty frustrated with his choices in the past, however (Judgment being the main one) and I do think he had chances to make the series grab a higher ledge than it has had the past decade.

I certainly am hoping he is still working on that Symphony sequel. Either that, or the GODDAMN BATTLE OF 1999!!!

Ditto. Needs more explaining what happened to the whip. Either game could be candidate for explanation.

Speaking of Aria when the castle was sealed away I can't remember if Julius got trapped inside of it as well. If that was the case he must have got tired of eating pot roast.

I don't think he was trapped inside the castle, because he sealed the Holy Whip inside before he escaped, along with his comrades.

The hero known as Julius Belmont would then fade into obscurity. As of now, he's 30 years old, probably residing somewhere in America.. but where  ???

America? i always thought that the Belmonts were European, that's more.. you know, classic (and cool).
IMO, IGa must to end his saga, with the remaining games, I mean, we have to know what happened at 1999 and after the sorrows! Konami, ONLY BY RESPECT to the fans must end the classic saga (If they want to continue only with the Euro saga) ;)

Everything comes full circle

Heh, before Konami makes the 1999 game they probably milk the story for all it's worth by making gaidens, like games set after LoI but before CV3, a game depicting Bram Stoker's Dracula, and quite possibly a Soleiyu game.

Do want.

Actually he would have to be around 19 or 20 when he entered the Castle in 1999. During the events of Aria and Dawn he would have to be in his mid 50s.

Well according to negumo theres an official novel in japan detailing the events after Aria and Dawn though I have no idea where the novel takes place I think it does however talk about him training a new hunter named Curtis Lang who weilds the Holy Whip.

You know the idea of Aria is cool but unless there is some other Belmont related to Julius that went on to have offspring or he managed to knock up a girl and have a son before he went on to face Dracula that would mean Julius would be the last of the Belmont clan. So in a sense IGA did manage to get rid of the Belmonts. Course Julius is a smooth dresser he might still have it in him to pick up a few ladies.
