THE VILLAGE IN ORDER OF ECCLESIA IS FEATURED IN THIS GAME.

Sorry for interrupting but only a graveyard named Wygol Cemetary is in the game not the actual village.

...

Carry on.

well if the cemetary is named that I can imagine the village where the cemetary is ...might also be? Yeah. Doesn't change the fact that that area is another area that does not look high fantasy.. As opposed to one location that is so far?

Despite the fact that an actual village has yet to be seen or heard off smartass.

Let him Nitpick. What difference does it make if he doesn't like the game. Let him miss out on a potentially great experience because there is too much sun coming through the window. We all have preferences.

I think this nonsense about LoS not being Castlevania-ish enough must stop. Several of you are pointing out things based on your own perception of Castlevania or downright ignorance about the franchise. Complaining about spiders is the bottom notch, you know? So please, stop the fuck and try to bring interesting topics to debate with. I visit this very forum regularly (it's my homepage actually) to get any news regarding Castlevania in general and LoS in particular, but today we have two new pages about nothing but people flaming among themselves because of VERY SUBJECTIVE THINGS. Even the Cox is so pissed off with our attitude, he twitted an article about relentless, reactionary and ultimately loveless fans. Here's the link in case you missed it, and LEARN FROM IT:

Classic enemies within lords of shadow

http://castlevania.wikia.com/wiki/Spider

http://castlevania.wikia.com/wiki/Werewolf
^^^ That's something I really like about the Werewolf designs in LoS. They actually look like they are based off the RoB Werewolf and She-Wolf(X68000/chronicles) look, with the long mane going down their backs.

And, it's always great to see the Spiders return to the CV series, but I kinda wondered why the CV Wiki page for the spiders forgot to put CV3 on the page.

Indeed, the Mad Forest is plagued with them. BTW, it's a Wiki, so feel free to add that info by yourself ;) I you want, of course.

Well the warg is designed like the castlevania versions too. Along with almost everything else. The armor being one.

Good Article.... but I think it's fine to express your opinion... as long as you aren't constantly whining about it.

I myself, find it less than perfect.... the way Diablo 3 is turning out to be.... but I thought and still think the same of Diablo 2. It didn't stop me playing the **** out of it. Of course, it wasn't gameplay, just atmosphere that Diablo used to attract me to the game.

I would like a darker Castlevania... but from what I've seen so far, this Castlevania looks great, with a gothic setting though brighter than CotM (Which was awesome) and some other CV.

They did... It's just mistitled as Castlevania 2... They have two entries of Castlevania 2.

Totally! The shot of the warg howling at the end of the trailer was a definite Rondo throwback, as was the burning village.

The little bit where Gabriel is fighting an armor enemy takes place in an area that looks a hell of a lot like the aqueduct stages in 3 and 4.

LoS has lots of throwbacks to old CV; you just have to look closely.

No, the second one is from Belmont's Revenge.

Like I said people don't realize it because its in 3d so it gives it a different look and feel but this 3d castlevania looks more "castlevania" than the previous ones imo.

Well, what kind of "dark-meter" are you using to measure up the darkness levels of LoS?

I don't get the darkness complaints. Outside at night while its raining and lightning is pretty dark for castlevania standards.
