Oh, yea, Death, I wonder how he's going to play into this game. Same for Slogra and Gaibon, I keep thinking we're just going to get a 3d version of SCIV's ending, which I would be COMPLETELY ok with.

I wanna hear this theme while I fight the big three before Dracula (if he's in this)

I would lose my mind if this song makes it in especially if it's near the final boss.

Man, that OST are awesome! It would be really cool to see her decisive battles, or else a new and even better, but much like this, which is simply fantastic.

Another thing, does this game like all the new Castlevania games, you have an alternate character to play after finishing the game?
A hero becomes a hero not because he wants to, but by what he does.

I doubt it. That's more of a IGA tradition.

Watch them remix this into the soundtrack somehow, they said we would hear a lot of familiar themes interwoven into the score.

I'm really hoping we hear this theme though.

You know, I can only wonder how they are going to explain the Belmont name orgin in the Japanese version. Unless it's all an amazing coincidence and Belmondo also means "beautiful mountain".

Not that I would make sense for a Romanian dude to choose the bastardization of "Belle Mount" as his surname but still.

Using the Cronqvist name is waaaay too specific to be a mere reference, even if I understand that it's not supposed to be anything more than that. But still. Mathias is 'effin Dracula in the IGA timeline. Had they used another surname, like DaNasty, i would've accepted it cause it's another hero name and a nice little reference to the original timeline. But Cronqvist? The only people who actually remember this name are we, the hardcore fanbase. And we will immediately think that Gabriel Belmont is the ancestor of something really evil. And yes, LoS has nothing to do with the other games, but nobody in their right mind would even touch the name Cronqvist again, unless you wanna hint something... dunno.

But yeah, it's probably just a reference to make us feel at home. Except it makes me feel VERY suspicious and not all warm and cozy and heroic like any other surname would've made me feel.  :(

Oh, and if this song is anywhere in LoS, I'm gonna die, but in a good way;

The thing I DO find funny is that the references we know so far ARE references to IGA's CV games. They could've very well pulled references from OLDER CV games without travelling the way of using "Cronqvist" or "Wygol". They could've very well used names from the N64 games, and say Gabriel was from the Schieder family, or name the town "Jova". Maybe we'll see some of that type of stuff in the game, but yeah, the other than referencing that the game is a lot like SCV4, the references to the original series that they've been letting slip have been references to IGA's CV canon. The reason I think it's funny is because many people believe IGA's canon is the reason the CV series has become so convloluted, and is the reason why a reboot was "needed". Why reference IGA's games, if that's the case?

Right.. Bella (beautiful). Mont (mountain) Belmont.

And I believe he becomes Dracula too. and it's fitting for Robert Carlysle to play to role too. Ever see Ravenous? :)) GREAT MOVIE!

No offense, but why isn't anyone questioning this alleged new bit of info? Given what Cox has said about LoS being a reboot and starting a new timeline, why would they make any kind of reference to Matthias and his becoming Dracula--unless, perhaps, Cox has been lying all this time? Personally, I'm not going to believe this until I see some magazine scans or official confirmation.

Well, what if all this talk of a reboot is just a marketing move? Maybe this game will fit PERFECTLY in with Lament of Innocence? The casual gamer who haven't played Castlevania before will buy the game because it doesn't require any knowledge of previous games, because the other games haven't happened yet. Hardcore CV fans, on the other hand, will immediately be able to connect it to the IGA timeline. And so everyone is happy. No harm done.

Konami really wants to broaden the appeal of Castlevania, so they decide to make a game that takes place before all the other games, which doesn't really reboot the series, but gives new players a chance to experience Castlevania from the very beginning, while also giving the hardcore fanbase a new beginning. Konami obviously calls it a reboot to get more players interested. Possibly. Maybe. Dunno.

Only problem here is if Dracula shows up in LoS. That would contradict rather badly with LoI. Though if Dracula isn't in the game, I don't see why they couldn't connect this to the canon timeline, and still attract new players by simply lying to their faces while they're hyping the game. And if LoS turns out awesome, I'm sure everyone will forgive Konami. Heck, the casual players will never even know that the game was connected all along, if they have no knowledge of the series whatsoever.

Yea, I really hate to say it but I'm starting to believe in the theory of Gabriel becoming Dracula.

If that turns out to be the case then I guess the next in his line would probably go take him down, and then they would be the real founder of the Belmont clan...?

Or.

Maybe.

The Brotherhood of Light is another "Order of Ecclesia" that's secretly trying to bring Dracula into existence, and Gabriel is completely unaware of this. This was actually my theory for awhile, it's possible the Cronqvist's could have been the founders of the Brotherhood of Light.
