Haha, wow. It seems that other link got the boot as well.

Anyone know how the trailer hit the net to begin with?

That's probably because it's cached onto your computer. That or Google just remove the embbed link, but still has the file. It's most likely the former though.

That said, if you refresh, you're screwed.

I'm not too crazy about this Mr. Ed thing. I've yearned for Castlevania riding for a long time, but I rather have my steed only neigh and gallop silently instead of guiding me or making comments. The way I pictured it was normal horses that got tired, died and had to be replaced with new ones from village stables.

Maybe this whole cosmic dimension horse could be a sly way of implementing comedy to a series where only Richter and Simon have proven that they have any sense of humour at all. I mean, it's kind of hard to take a talking horse seriously.

Also, I hope there's a minimal amount of that "rail-riding" and a maximum amount of open landscape riding.

Edit: was that a snippet of a Lost Painting remix at the end of the trailer?

Bloody trailers are down now, you lucky so-and-so's.

Some credit I think for Mercurysteam.  People here had some serious doubts over the quality of the earlier trailer and some of the screenshots, and true enough from a graphics perspective some of it looked bitty/grainy.  The footage here looks to appease any doubts there.  That introduction scene was magical.  It recalled a bit to me of what a Simon's Quest town/inhabitants might look like in 3D.

Gameplay footage is looking good, although I think that grab quick time event will become a little tiresome.  The fights looked like they'll go on a bit, the whip may be a bit ineffectual, but I'm sure some upgrades will sort that out though.  The fight with the Warg was excellent, you have to block and counter: button-mashing isn't going to do it.

The horseback episode proves that the game is willing to change things up even in the combat, it's going to feel like a story driving you on to new events.

Well, you'll have to take sides here; Do you believe Cornell was in Legacy of Darkness or in Lords of Shadow? You can't have both, lol. Except you can. I'm thinking the LoS Cornell is an ancestor to the LoD Cornell.
(Damn it's hard not to try to connect this game to the rest. I want it to fit, lol!)

The intro of Legacy said that man-beast were near immortal so this Cornell could be the same as his Legacy counterpart. The only problem is that they don't look anything alike.  :-\

I hope they interview IGA. I want do know what he is up know and his opinion about this game of course.

Trailer now seen.  Very, very good and atmospheric.  Outstanding voice talent, nice introduction to the characters.  Only things: no gameplay in there and no expected SCIV teaser music. Sounds like a music box VK at the end, and just prior sounds like 2 very brief chords from SotN's Requiem For the Gods.

Also, IGA will probably be on stage demonstrating Harmony of Despair, lol.
I'm gonna watch it.

Hahaha. Ya know, that sounds pretty worth the watch. Showing Lords of Shadows, then THAT. And IGA trying to actually say something good about it maybe. Oh man. I can't miss this.

Characters change appearance in the series all the time. Dracula has hardly ever looked the same twice, neither has Alucard, Death, Carmilla, etc.

Let's hope they announce a release date at the Konami press conference today!
