It does, even Dave Cox said so.

Dave said that it uses its own engine. When he actually did start talking about the Unreal Engine it was only to comment on how samey games that utilize it end up looking, and how they want LoS to have a unique appearance.

I'm trying to find the interview to confirm it... but I could've sworn he said something along the lines of people saying something about it, and that it does and it's hard to tell because of how it looks. Maybe I heard it wrong.... but I can't find that damned interview.

Wow, that clock tower stage looks awesome. I loved it when the audience clapped when the guy got past the electric ledge part.

HOLY SHIT AT ALL THE NEW FOOTAGE. Watching now. :>

Damn, the Clock Tower looks pretty awesome, pretty chaotic shit. The platforming looks really nice, very Uncharted like. I approve. The fixed camera angles are really nice too, very cinematic. OH SHIT THE WHIP CONTROLS, finally, scaling the walls footage! Looks really cool, I love how you can move up the wall by kicking off of it. Platforming looks pretty much the way I hoped it would, I'm pleased. HE FINALLY MADE IT UP THE WALL AFTER 10 TRIES.

Castle looks amazing, lots of objects that are destructible, but I don't see any candle whipping. :(

The fight with the Butcher is absolutely crazy, that gave us the best look at the combat system yet. Being able to mix around with different combos and magic looks really fun, I'm impressed. I lol'd when the Butcher put the pot over his head and belched, good ol' Konami humor.

I'm very impressed with what I've seen, this definitely helped give me more to look forward to with this game. I have yet to hear any classic tunes though, maybe there won't be as many as I hoped there would be.

How could you not? It was the very first thing he knocked over in the clocktower vid and the hallway.

Looks like it wont be arena fights after all since we see Gabe climb the castle rather than fight the great armor and skeletons. YUS!!! Also, the platforming looks so freakin awesome. You just know with that fixed camera there is going to be at least one totally sidescrolling section.
Go. Set Forth! Both your own life and hers are at stake.

I too, was happy to see this. There really isn't that much linearity in this game as I thought there would be.

The platforming.... looks perfect!! THIS is how you do the platforming in a 3D CV game!!

The Clockwork Tower looks beauitful. If anything, it reminds me a LOT of the style you'd see in IGA's CVs. All fancy, classy and stuff. It's not your classic stone-brick clock tower of the older CVs. Actually, it reminds me a lot if a IGAvania Clock Tower merged with Final Fantasy IX's Desert Palace(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m2Gmp2PA5Zo).

My only complaint is that the platforms took a while to reach Gabriel before he could jump on them, or maybe the player was just being too careful and wanted to wait for his jumps. It looked like he could make the jumps to me though, also Super Castlevania IV swinging at the end of the video made me smile, even if it was for 2 seconds. It looks so natural. :D

This thread is outragious! I have absolutly no idea of how much more you all can carry this thing out! I think that this thread should make the internet Guiness book of world records for the longest ongoing thread about a sinlge subject. If LoS has this much enthusiasim then it'll be a good playthrough.  :)
