This game will be impressive, definitely.
Arts, sound, gameplay,...everything fits well until now.

I just hope the storyline they choose will not ruin up everything.

Just like I thought, thanks for posting that :)
Reminds me of Shigeru Miyamoto demostrating Zelda: Skyward Sword at E3, lol. It must be frustrating when technology fails you during an important demo.

Question; Will we hear some more music from the game before launch? I think many of us are really curious to hear more!

No idea about more music before release. Could be, but it's up to Konami actually. I'm sorry  :-[

"They keep falling in the videos and dying! The controls must be bad!"

Seriously guys? Like.. Seriously..?  :-\

Yeah, the rules with games are that skilled players make them look great, and not-so-great players... well, fill in the blank. The guy was decent at the combat, at least (which looks VERY good). The whip movements remind me of something like... I dunno, a 3D Strider?

To sum up, there is nothing wrong with controls nor the camera. I found necessary you know it first hand.

Thank you for clearing that up. I'm trying to avoid seeing too much before I play the game.

How could you like more the plastic mask than the artbook in the CE? I think the art would be just unvaluable! it's really beautiful  :)

now that I think on this, I am starting to wish we got the artbook, or the CE came with both everywhere, the soundtrack is more in my interest, btw, does anyone know if cox has been asked if bloody tears will be in the game? I hope it is!

The artbook AND the mask should come with both the PAL and US releases. Together with the OST, of course.
Actually, the limited edition should include game, artbook, soundtrack, plastic mask, gabe action figure, a plastic TITAN, combat cross keychain, "making-of-LoS"-DVD, poster, t-shirt, badge, balloon, pen.. and... dunno... a biscuit?

 :D

Have you guys forgotten about KONAMISTYLE? Last few cv games got the Konamistyle treatment, why not LoS?

Sure, it'd cost $120, but you gotta pay more to get more.

Hi there. I'm the guy who played the clocktower level seen in the footage you are mentioning. Sorry about that :) You may find interesting to know that there was a random delay between my inputs with the gamepad and the corresponding action in-game, apparently due to technical reasons not related to the game or the console, but to the video signal. We realized about it when it was too late, so it was near to impossible to play that day, but theater was full of people, and I got to keep playing until the end of the event.

About new footage with climbing stuff I wasn't there but I can tell you whoever was playing was not aware of the mechanics of the game. Even the simplest ones.

To sum up, there is nothing wrong with controls nor the camera. I found necessary you know it first hand.

Thx

Excuse me , but aren't you the one who claimed himself as Enrique Alvares ?

Now, I'm confused  :-\

Thanks Kojima .. one of the revolutionaries in the entertainment industry

What is it with people registering and claiming to be members of the development team, or just for damage control?

Guys, he's legit, he came months before... why is this forum so defensive? look at "IGA's thread" there's already a flamebait for opinion there, HD forum was also witchhunting, and this one, OMG,,, I still remember when some "genius" came here to say Mr Alvarez how he should design the controls of his game, without having played it before; and now this "cool dude attitude" seriously, is very, vey annoying... s**t some of you think you are the owners of Castlevania, what a "great" fans the saga has! That's why Konami has almost left it in the can, if you can't get serious feedback -and support- from your fans, who would you get it from? who are you working for? ---

Don't you guys realise this is maybe the LAST chance for CV? HoD Failed miserably, sales and criticswise, also Judgment, and every CV since DOS (Some criticswise, some saleswise, or BOTH) if LOS failed, it would be the end. The end.

Are you deluded enough to think Lords of Shadow is the savior of the franchise? Konami has been pumping out CV games CONSISTENTLY since 1986, longer than you've been alive, but all of a sudden they're supposed to stop because yet another attempt at a 3D game has failed?

There's gonna be MANY more games years after LoS is released.

I understand your point, however Konami had been doing that before Cvs name became almost nothing. Konami released lots of Cv before, because, If you remember oh-so-eldery one, CV was such a big name in the 90's, and we're talking about Mario-level big, or a bigger-than-final-fantasy big. Then SOTN became a cult classic and sold well, it also sold well in XBLA though... however, if IGA's words are to be believed, HOD sales were good, AOS sales not as good, DOS sales.... even worse. DXC was almost a flop selling 70.000 if Vgcharts is to be believed, then POR was kinda meh but with an increase due to strong marketing, OOE had a slow start however it sold well not too long ago thanks to a extremely discounted price ($10 I think?). 3D vanias are not different, LOI had decent sales, but COD was a flop thanks to  being released in the same month than xbox360 (WTF?) and if I'm not wrong, also FFXII and a lot of heavy sequels, games that had actually, you know, big names?... Then Judgment... flopped, hard, wii is a console that sells by name, and judgment proved that CV is not a big name anymore, a venerable niche one, yes, but not a big one, and th ¡e game was sooo bad, that even a lot of us, "true fans" didn't buy it. In this internet era, you just can't fail too much before never being able to get up again, Castlevania encore of the night had lukewarm reviews with low sales projections, and then harmony of Despair.... it sold well the first week thanks to heavy Microsoft-driven marketing, but once reviews came in... I'm sure the game will be empty in some months.
Then there it is the irremediable damage it made to the almost non-existant mainstream CV name.
If LOS fails to captivate "casual hardcores", CV will be dependant on us, hardcore and fans; they won't invest big budgets, turning CV in a bargain low-qualty trademark, and if they release bad games, they will lose hardcore gamers, after that, they will get even less money, and they will make even worse games, so bad, that not even us, Cv fans will buy them... and that's it. The saga is dead.
