what is your problem?
listen
you do not have to keep replying useing these defencive posts.
its just my opinion thats all simple as that.
like i said Cox COULD do a Vampire/Belmont type of thing but like i said no one is questioning whether he can pull it off its just that we don't like the idea its a simple as that.

you and Ahasverus  seem to defencive when it comes to LOS so just lighten up

^^^ I find that funny, because Ahasverus was quick to bring up the fanboy retort, which is like the pot calling the kettle black. Actually, you only see such defensive replies FROM fanboys, because their the only one that get so sensitive so fast if anybody criticizes their beloved game, even if it really isn't THAT critical of a critique. It's a hair trigger.

I really don't understand why you people complain so much about the new timeline. Christopher Nolan did it with Batman. Toho did it with Godzilla. Ubisoft did it with Heroes of might and magic. Marvel did it with Ultimates. CW did it with Nikita. Glen A. Larson did it with Galactica. JJ Abrams did it with Star Trek.

And the list go on, and on, and on...

It is a completely new universe so, where is the problem in having diferent characters with the same name? Where is the problem in having different explanations for the same situations? I can enjoy this fiction as much I enjoyed the previous one.

And, actually, I find some of the IGA ideas much more heretic than "Dracula being a Belmont".

We aren't angry that a new timeline exists. We were only discussing elements of the new timeline that we didn't like and plot lines that would make us mad. Just because it's a new timeline doesn't mean we must blindly accept everything that appears in it.

I think the people here have been widely critical of IGA's games. People voiced their opinions on what they like and don't like about them and now we are just doing the same with the new timeline.

I don't have a problem, nor have I ever had a problem, with Belmonts being distant descendants of Dracula himself.  I don't understand why this bothers so many people other than the usual "IT....  IT JUST SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN 'CUZ NO" and "BAW HAW BELMONTS SHOULD BE PURE" hogwash.

I remember this same argument happening when Legends came out.

That's just it. It's a personal preference. It would kind of annoy me if it happened. However. I guess if it's done correctly...it might actually work. I just feel the whole 'hunt down your ancestors' plot has been over played...especially in video games. It was fine when tied to Alucard, but I'm not too keen on it being a huge part of the series.

what is your problem?
Overeacting fanboys, maybe?
The ones who react on changes in separate CV'verse as if it was sacrilige to the CV traditions. I mean I could understand all this it was just worry. But some people (including you) reacts as if it was the end of the old good CV. Though this already had happened with the release of the SOTN.

Why not?
I am defending my views. That is all. And try to convey simple idea that people need to widen the scope and don't stuck only with one story, one canon. It is much better when you have open mind, when old story taking new forms and shapes. And not crying: "They changed THAT!! How dare!!? Ruined FOREVER!! WhAAA..." Just think about form different angles. Maybe changed stuff will work better in that particular 'verse?
Exact reaction that've seen several times in different fandoms. Especially in this one, where some people seemingly adheres only for one version of the storyline / canon and didn't try to accept anything else, regardless of it's execution.
And my posts is not about protecting LOS. There are about protecting creators right to radically change and shift things in the new storyline. In short I try to convince people to lighten up and don't take changes as violation of they little sacred personal canon. It doesn't going anywhere anyway.

That what I must tell you.
Not vice versa. ;D

Proof of what I just said. Instead taking it with the open mind people tend to go into frenzy. Oh, well. It's fans baby.

I completely agree with what CristopherLee and Jorge D. Fuentes.

Like I said earlier....are we supposed to just blindly accept it? I think if we have issues with the story, then we should speak up. After all, we aren't going to stick with the new timeline if we dislike it. I approached LoS with an open mind and was dissatisfied with some choices they made.

And I wish we would all stop branding those with different opinions as 'fanboys'.

another defencive agreesive post from Sumac *sigh*
how am i a fanboy?
i'm not the one thats replying to every post that says something i don't like or agree with.
and how am i the one overeacting?
i'm only making small straight to the point posts while you on the other hand or basically attacking anyone who doesn't agree with your point of view.
its MY opinion and i think you should respect it and leave it at that.
i see ALOT of people flameing IGA's Alucard design (which i love) but i don't go around on the defencive at every post because of it
and yes Cox has the right to do whatever game story he wants.
he can make a Belmont a vampire, fairy, buttliker, and shoe shiner for all i care but that doesn't mean i should just go with the flow and like it.

I sure hope that DLC provides a few answers & doesn't just throw out a million knew questions for fans to speculate over. I can't stand all this uncertainty.

They complain because they don't like the possible ideas that might used in the new timeline, and they are free not to like them.

There's nothing wrong with having new characters, but people are allowed to dislike certain explainations they feel might be a cop-out. Really, even saying it's a brand new universe is no excuse. People don't have to like it if they don't like it. It DOES come down to personal preference. I mean, you listed a lot of GOOD reboots, but look at G.I Joe: The Rise of Cobra. Tell me I can't pick out the HORRID things that movie did "new" because it takes place in a "new" universe. Of course, justifying that also means you can't nitpick both live action Street Fighter movies, or even Uwe Boll's horrid VG movies, because, quite frankly, "they are a new take". Nobody's THAT indifferent(nor should they be).

Don't you mean Ronald D. Moore? He was the one who re-imagined Galactica, not Glen A. Larson (the man responsible for the original series).

The concern comes from the concepts themselves and their execution, not the fact that it's a re-imagining.
