Capcom sent the Bionic Commando license to tiny swedish game studio GRIN. Then GRIN went bankrupt. I hear there were "problems" or "delays" with payment on Capcoms part. I sometimes think that Capcom is evil, for real. Maybe they're gonna force Ninja Theory into bankruptcy too, lol. I wouldn't collaborate with them.
Well, it didn't help that the new 3D BC sold like shit compared to Rearmed, which made me very sad; I loved both games and a 3D sequel with problems addressed would be game of the forever. They're still on good terms though. Despite its sales a lot of the higher ups at Capcom loved what they did with the 3D one. A lot of GRIN guys including Simon Viklund moved to Fat Shark, the team Capcom is having make BCR2.
Ninja Theory, though... I'm expecting their DMC to only sell about as much as the earlier ones simply because it has Devil May Cry on the box, like DMC2. The only thing I'm expecting it to accomplish is being the first game in the series more universally despised than DMC2 (and undoubtedly be the first entry with the scourge of modern action gaming, aka QTEs. You know they'll do it). I've backpedaled on my hate for their leader, the Tameem guy, due to the circumstances of Dante's retarded redesign (apparently it WAS Capcom of Japan's idea after all), but I swear to God, the second I see a button icon pop up on any gameplay trailer, the game is going from "eventually buy" status to "rent only" status. I'm sick of this QTE shit.
