rev·er·ie /ˈrevərē/ Noun
1. A state of being pleasantly lost in one's thoughts; a daydream: "I slipped into reverie".
2. An instrumental piece suggesting a dreamy or musing state.

That image of that supposed time machine will have Gabriel traveling to & fro to modern-day (across several games)so he can slay his evil Dracula self. You heard it here first~

The idea of Laura once belonging to a loving family then being snatched away & turned kinda reminds me of this

btw I figured out what OSM stands for

WAIT

If Zobek is gone for now, who will narrate the loading screens?

Hopefully no one. There will be enough bad writing in game as it is.

Who knows. MaybeSir Patrick Stewart will stay on board merely as narrator, with none of this "following him" stuff
Laura and Gabriel arrive in the deepest cave of the castle and... they find IGA.

Laura would be my guess as well, or perhaps Gabriel will narrate as if it was a diary or journal.  I can only speculate.  The idea that he will eventually slay Laura and gain a new ability likely.  I actually will be surprised if it doesn't happen.  It's funny.  It's almost as if Gabriel has the power of dominance.  I mean it seems that every time Gabriel kills a really powerful boss he gain a new ability.  No wonder he eventually becomes Dracula.

LOL I like your theory Crisis, it actually makes sense. Although you have to wonder, if he does in fact use a time machine, why not go back in time and save marie/claudia?

A lot of assumptions... The DLC supposed to continue the plot after the game ending is Resurrection and not Reverie. I think Reverie takes place during Gabriel's quest at some moment after Carmilla's defeat but before the final battle against Satan, probably even before Gabriel's travel to the land of the necromancers... Time traveling?... I really doubt so, the clock device most be a new puzzle to solve during the mission... About the evil who was freed when Camilla was defeated, hmm... Can be anything, the castle was haunted before Carmilla's arrival and she suppressed the evil presence when she took the castle... Could be Frankenstain's moster but also another evil presence is possible... Doppelganger or Legion?

So let me get this straight. More traditional Castlevania stuff like Frankenstein's Monster and the Mummy were replaced by generic Tolkien shit for being too "boyish", but a motherfucking time machine isn't? Fucking game writers, how do they work?

Any amount of seriousness I looked at the plot with has just gone down the drain. (Actually, that's not true. That happened after hearing the "We are the same, you and I" shtick for the second time.)

They didnt use the B movie list of monsters because they wanted to depart from  that classic "universal monsters" thing that the classicvanias did. Not because they are "boyish"

Now mind you this game has a Frankenstein, and considering he made the Clockwork Tower and all that other shit, it would come as no surprise if he made the time machine.

You really don't like LOS huh? Is it just the plot/writing that irks you?(Obviously that's an important part of the game).

Whats wrong with having a time machine?

It's not the first time Castlevania has been associated with time travel.

Too bad that was Judgment.
...and Resurrection.

I'm sure Reverie will have a better story than both. I mean, if it doesn't then uhhhhhhhhhh.
Of course it's still time travel which usually turns out to be a horrible plot device in a lot of stories but yeah.
