So why doesn't Gabriel just use the God Mask to kill the Forgotten One?
He left it in the Abyss/Marie took it with her

The "notorious enemy" IS the Forgotton One,
whereas Dracula is shaping up to be the anti-hero in this universe.

Is a complete walkthrough of Reverie is up? I've only seen the first two levels.
I'm still waiting on the third level being uploaded to that guy's youtube account.
The "notorious enemy" IS the Forgotton One
Nothing very "notorious" about him at all, I hope he isn't the enemy they've been teasing.

Right now I'm not liking Dracula's origin at all, and I'm starting to believe in "Alucard Belmont" becoming reality. Watch, the sequel will have Dracula Gabriel playable with all of Laura's powers and then some.

This whole reboot really is just "the sad tale of Gabriel Belmont."

This is what im banking on, and the Forgotton one will be a titan fight for sure.

It'd be lame to have indeed TFO as the final boss and being a titan fight...

If it is it, hope they make it better, you know, like actual titans of Shadow of the Collosus...

Directions seems to be going somewhere. But what kind of conclusion are they really going for?
For a final boss to actually wrap up this next-gen CV, maybe go with..

- Something no one expected
- For a Forgotten One.. something massive.. a supernatural being that would have immense power
Maybe a being that controls time & space?

(just theories, nothing more)

That guy uploaded the next couple parts of Reverie on his youtube account. The Founder's Quarters looks pretty neat.

I think I hear some new music too.

Ha! Couldn't have said it better. Looking more and more like this is the case. Gabrielvania!! :(
It's like Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, but instead it's Who Wants Fried Chicken? I do.

Castlevania should always have been about Dracula I'm not complaining for this new direction, I want a baddie I actually care about you know?
It's like saying "Nolan's Batman films are awful they are only the "emo tale of bruce Wayne"" or "Legacy of Kain sucks it's just Kain's nonsensical biography"
---
Is it me or they pretty much nailed the Castle feeling? =O Founder's Quarters especially feel soooo Gothic, the art design magnificent and the level of detail is insane, it reminds me of SOTN actually  :o

I definitely agree with this, the art direction/scenery is absolutely stunning. Mercury Steam has some of the best artists.

Definitely feel the same way. After years of going up against Dracula and his minions we're now getting to experience the other side of the story; from the view of Dracula himself.
