Either way the LoI origin still fits in with what CVA, CV3, etc. say about Dracula's origins as well (him being an ancient demonic sorceror before waging war on humanity, building a castle in the outskirts of Transylvania to conduct rituals, etc.)

Which is why LoS being set in an alternate universe is such a convenient cop-out.

It's not a cop-out, it was made being thinked outside the saga so far. It's a damn spin-off, or the restart if you will...

If people will or not like the direction is another story.

I guess I'm okay with how Gabriel turned. imo it's more interesting that Dracula got turned into a vampire by unconventional means than just biting. That's why I like LoI. I just don't like the implications of Gabriel being weak, because he is so manipulated by "destiny". It kinda strikes him as powerless. Just shrugging and going, "IT'S FATE." LoI Dracula was more interesting in this regard because it seems like he changed his fate drastically, all with his scheming. And THEN it turns out that some sort of fate is involved when you look at the whole Belmont vs Dracula, and his reincarnation in AoS. But I guess, regular CV canon just has more development to it as well.

Yeah, thus far, it seems LoS is kind of like to Castlevania what Maximo was to the Ghosts 'n' Goblins/Makaimura franchise. It's not that it's bad in of itself, but it also has that distinct spin-off feel...like it re-imagined to point of being a game "inspired by" rather than "in series." (But with Maximo, I always envisioned it being able to link up with the main GnG by having an eventual tag-team adventure with Arthur. That can't happen for Castlevania with the divergent way LoS has positioned itself with Gabriel and Drac, though).

But anyway, I just don't like that the restart of Castlevania decided to move it further and further away narrative-wise from the originals. The biggest reason being that the new tale isn't even that compelling to take center stage away from the older, simpler version of Belmont vs. mythic Dracula, or even IGA's unconventional but acceptable Belmont vs. old family friend Dracula. Just my two cents. I'm very cautious toward Castlevania's future right now in terms of being what I'm looking for...Especially since I just don't think the LoS' present gameplay design makes it possible for effective traditional 3D platforming.

Also had another idea: Gabriel is going to fight TFO in the PAST (as he used the Time Machine to get the founders' blood). So, if he manages to defeat TFO in the PAST, it will have drastic consequences on the PRESENT (LoS era/1047). So, everything may have not happened. What do you think about it?

nope, because TFO is in a dimensional rift not in the normal world, Gabriel turned back time in the castle to access the Dimensional Gate, but it should throw him in the actual time of the rift.

Actually, I believe that it just temporarily reversed the effects of time on the castle itself.  I don't think that it undid defeating the LoS.  I get the feeling that after time runs out, the castle tower will crumble again.
