Now you come here, to bug out peolple down here with your bombastic "opinions".
Hey my opinions count as much as anyone elses.

Oh, well. There is no reason why I should take anything you say seriously,
oh right because you can't accept anyone's opinions different from your own.
since you already proved time and time again, that you're actually the one who couldn't tolerate anyone else opinions.
if you were paying attention, you and others can't tolerate my opinions, continuing to reject them as
if only their opinions are facts so they can justify hating this game.

I'm not jeaolous about this game. There is no reason to be jealous about this "game" for anyone who was with the series for the last 4 or so years - years of stagnation and copypaste.
if you come out of your cave, you would see and realize there are fans who have been faithful since the NES Castlevanias that don't mind the copypaste and don't see it as stagnation. The metroidvania assets still are young and fresh, and better looking compared to the NES sprites/art.
This game looks like an fanhack, slapped together for 20 dollars by team of three progarmmers, who done this as they hobby.
That's something typical for someone to say that's ignorant about this game's development and development costs. Do you need to tell that to Harmony of Despair's developers in their face so they
will set you straight on the facts and make you feel like a complete child?
Fun? What Fun?! Playing the damn thing as if there weren't DOS, POR, OOE???
Existing single player Castlevanias can only hold one's attention for so long.
"Metroidvanias" weren't much fun after AOS
opinion
and this one "thing" doesn't look like it will radically change it.
maybe not for you, but for many others it will.
It maybe will be a good fun for maybe two-three days, but then...it, most likely, becomes repetetive and boring.
yes short attention span gamers with no passion and appreciation for this, will lose interest, obviously.
all games are repetitive in some form, naturally.
From waht it looks like there is not much, that you can accomplish in this game.
classic Castlevanias (except CVII) were basically go beat the boss before time or life runs out, rinse repeat each stage, and people still enjoy it.
This game at least has lots of items to update your characters skills and equipment (and there are
5 characters to start with, each with their own records and differences. Not just 1 or 2 characters.)
Harmony of Despair still has the item hunting and equip upgrade aspect, so people will keep coming for
more, besides playing with friends, or against them in versus mode.
There is also that Ghost time attack feature. So speed masters will have something to do too.
And getting all the best equipment for each character will take longer than you think.
Even then, many will still have fun with friends online with it. And even some solo players will just enjoy
going through the stages in different ways and beating each boss for fun.

Parade? What parade? Most people in this thread dismissing this game as some odd thing if not outright saying that they hate it.
Hate is loud and more popular, that doesn't mean positive thinkers anticipating this aren't out there.
Maybe you think that this game is the greatest thing that happened with the series since, SOTN, but in reality it is not.
in reality, you are just stating your opinion as well.
There is no parade - there are mostly disdain and hatred. Fully deserved I must say.
Just because you side with hatred,
does not make it right.
You are the only being here who's crying. I am not sure what's your problem - either you want some attention or something.
sigh, closed minded thinking has no chance of seeing beyond their limits.
New??? Oh my...
HD is the farthest thing from "NEW". It's like saying "black is the closest thing to white within the spectrum".
It still makes it look better than some small pathetic portable screen.
Well have fun with this "game" - it seems all IGA's efforts wasn't in vain as long as he have such "devoted" fans of his "work". :
Yes his work as well as his team deserves more credit and respect in keeping 2-D Castlevania
alive and giving something new that fans never experienced before, an online Castlevania on the big screen that can be played with a group of friends worldwide using many fan favorites, new castle layouts and dangers to master, with hidden items to discover and equip to become stronger, with the gameplay all in real-time without pause! On this game's highest difficulty, it could be one of the most challenging Castlevania games when played solo, maybe even groups might have trouble too, which makes teamwork all the more fun, exciting and rewarding!

I would guess some masters might even do some no equipment runs on the hardest difficulty. That would be interesting to try out too. Harmony of Despair will have more ways to have fun with it, especially with other players!
And the Survival mode will be very refreshing too!
