Imagine if the next Castlevania game is called "Aria of Sadness". That would be really, really horrible.

We would probably call it ASS. Oh my..

To be honest, it reminds me of a multiplayer version of "The Lost Vikings", haha.
Truth be told, if it did came out on PS3 I might splurge for it, if it's something like $10. >.>

But it's IGN. They give awful reviews.

well opinions are opinions and different opinions always disagree. But people go to IGN for the screenies and videos.   ;D

at least they might give some  info and tidbits we haven't learned from the media.

And since their full review comes with a full video, that means possible new gameplay clips to watch,
as well as new screenshots!  ;D

based on the fact they will be showing each level every day until Friday, and they have shown the 2nd chapter this tuesday.  They might go a little more indepth with chapter 3 and 4 before the full review the following day.

why is everything so square and stacked in cubes

Maybe they are only destructible by the boss, like this castle is designed so that this time, players can't simply rush towards the boss if they wanted to. it's scripted to come out on its own after a certain amount of time.   If players can destroy the blocks too then they will have to plow through them to reach the boss, any leftover blocks can be used as platforms.   :)

Based on the screenshots, Menace can destroy the black/bones platforms/walls/ceilings too.

Another theory is that its the players job to reach the boss by destroying the purple cubes.
They cannot destroy the black cubes.  Once they reach the boss, it gets up and proceeds to destroy any black and purple cubes in its path.

oh yeah, remember the giant piano in DoS that didn't do anything?  its in stage 2 and I have to wonder if it actually does something now, other than make a noise when you walk on the keys.  also, i see that Alucard has his Dawn Warriors again.  its nice to see a fuller range of Alucard's abilities in this game, as opposed to the limited amount of tricks he had in DoS.

@affinity
T-That's not really a reason for them to be cubes.
And there isn't much sense in their arrangement either even if they are just there to be broken.

i am mildly curious as to what the thing on the bottom left is.
