This is a game I'll definitly want to play!!  :o My only gripe is that Simon's whip is too short and does not glow as it should. But the graphics are phenominal and putting in new music adds to it's dimension. But yes, the old tunes should've been kept.

I love how they're adding music like Reincarnated Soul, Battle of the Holy, Gears Go Awry, New Messiah AND having original compositions. There seems to be a lot more individuality and creativity going into this project than others. The original compositions are just signs of the greater potential this project has imo.

That Aljiba track sounds like something out of Shantae. Great chiptunes though.

The game looks great, but I don't like that the music was changed.

There are no replacements for Message of Darkness and Bloody Tears.  :P

No offense, but I find Bloody Tears to be way overrated. So many more interesting songs in Castlevania.

It's my understanding that these guys intend to add the stuff the game was missing like... REAL BOSSES!
That alone would make this game sooo much better. Needless to say, I'm also greatly looking forward to this.

Woot, another Wicked Child person. Awesome.

This guy did a good job with it on Elec Guitar imo.

I don't mind them adding music into the game since CV2 didn't have a very wide variety to begin with.  I don't think they should have omitted the original music either.  I would love to see different areas and mansions in the game have their own music, which is something that was always lacking in the original Simon's Quest.  But Bloody Tears originated in CV2, and it seems a shame for it to not be in a remake.  Just having it as the theme for the first section of woods you travel through would be enough.

There's really no excuse to take Message of Darkness out of the title screen.  It may be a simple tune, but it's a perfect mood setter for the creepy and desolate game you're about to start.

Nice clip of Wicked Child on guitar! Makes me realize how great that tune is.. Now let's see someone do it on drums.

Bloody Tears has already been done to death so I don't really miss it. Plus, it's one of those rare classics that never sounded better than it did in the NES original. In my opinion, the song only got worse as the series went on. It was kinda meh in DoS and downright uninspired in Judgment. Konami can't top it, neither can fans. Well, maybe someone can... someday.

Anyway, this game looks fantastic. Why can't this be an official download for Wiiware, PSN or XBLA? :( It would be so sweet...

No love for the SCIV version? That rendition took a basic and repetitive tune and nuanced the crap out of it.

The SCIV version is probably the second best version in my opinion, and it's super sophisticated given the restrictions of the hardware (much like all of SCIV soundtrack). But it also gives me a completely different feeling than the original, it's almost a bit melancholic. The version in Simon's Quest on the other hand is simplistic but that thumpin NES beat is just.... kick ass.

So yes, I've got lotsa love for the SCIV version, but it's not the same for me.

I too think Bloody Tears is pretty overrated. It's nowhere near my favorites, but it did sound great in SCIV.
