I dont get the point, paying 200€ (or more?) to own a handheld u dont use to 100% (see 3D effect)
You also wont buy a Playstation 3 only to play Ps 1 and 2 games and some dvd´s to watch,would you?

Supposedly, the 3DS has more power than the DS. From what I know, the point is to have DS games with better graphics than the old DS games.

But really, in the end, all you're buying is more fancy graphics.

I got mine just cuz it was only a few bucks more than a DS at Target. Figured it's just an upgraded DS and I wanted a DS anyway after my old Gameboy died from a sponge bath.

I recently downloaded both 3D Classics Twinbee and Kirby's Advendure.  Both are great old school games and the 3D effect breaths new life into them.   I had never played Twinbee before but that game is fun as hell and super addictive.  I'm going to pick up Mario 3D Land soon.

This question has probably been asked 5 million times already, but anyway:
When playing normal DS games on a 3DS, you must hold start or select or something to make the games look tolerable. My question is; Does this make the game look as good as they do on DSi, or do they still look worse?

Playing normally blurs the games a little because the new screen isn't bigger by a whole-number factor in terms of pixels... but it's not that bad.
Depending on the game, I switch between the two styles.  3D-style games like Spirit Tracks look better with the large screen, while pixel-part games like Castlevania look better with Start+Select.  The games look great, but they look a bit smaller than the DSLite versions.  It's very crisp, but small.

Like Jorge already stated most DS games look fine on the 3DS but a some do tend to look a little blurry.  The problem has been greatly exaggerated on the internets.
