As much as I feel that there has been waaay too many Metroidvanias released for the past 10 years, I suddenly think it's been too long ago since the last one (Harmony of Despair doesn't count). I wanna EXPLORE in 2D again! Let's hope IGA hasn't completely abandoned the formula. I actually miss it.

I'm hoping for one, too. I'm just wondering what the likelihood is, though. Most new games for the series have a habit of being leaked some way or another before an official announcement, don't they? (I could be remembering that incorrectly)

This may be a safe guess, but I'm thinking there might be more info on a 3D-ized version of the NES Castlevania for the 3DS. Like a release date, playable demo on the floor, etc. Of course that wouldn't be that special of an announcement, but I'm assuming this is something they were planning to follow-through on (Nintendo and/ or Konami).

Well Cox said he won't be at E3 so I don't expect to see any new Lords of Shadow stuff. Everyone knows the HD is coming to PS3 so let's hope for an anniversary or something new.
