Love how this news brought this place back to life.

I wonder if we'll hear anything at TGS.

We'll that is actually the only big event left this year where Konami can announce anything.

So I would have to say yes we should hear something at TGS.

A game or anime would be great with me. Heck, even a Manga would be cool. (well, not a one shot thing I mean)
Yes a manga drawn by Ayami Kojima. That would be great.

I'm very curious to see what it could be. I'll admit, I'm hoping it's a new game or at the very least, if it is an older game, an updated, HD version of it.

The original Rondo Dracula actually more closely resembles SOTN Dracula, considering SOTN takes place only 2 years after Rondo

Correction there affinity. SotN takes place 5 years after rondo. Otherwise Maria wouldn't be 17 years old as she was 12 in Rondo.

If Konami did indeed "confirm" a 25th birthday thingy, well... first off

1. We don't need to art book. If you want an  art book - go get the fancy awesome expensive paper and print the pictures out yourself and then bind it yourself with your own cover choice.   (no offense to anyone! :O)

Edit: Yeah, its probably really expensive. So I guess 1. is out of the picture :P  But I do have to admit I do enjoy a lot of the artwork from the CV universe, either the old style from the 80s and early 90s to the SoTN era and above. The art work has always fascinated me because of the 'gothic', 'dark' and 'morbid' atmosphere in which the series has provided all theses years.

2. Another Music CD. Who uses CDs nowadays? Seriously - I don't want to hear Bloody Tears for the 90th fucking millionth time since I was like...7?

Edit: The reason to this is because hearing a tune over and over again for surely gets...old. But that's just the musician in me. I understand that there are a lot of fans out there who still enjoy the original tunes (I do as well, but...wow... you get the idea, I think...)

4. Screw your Wallpaper - make it yourself.!

Edit: It'd be nice to see some interesting designs from the fan base. I know Konami has tried in the past to make some neat ones, especially the Dawn of Sorrow interactive desktop for XP. :)

5. Poster? No thanks, I can easily make one.

Edit: Reason to this – is because well, I can make them! But – It's still good to have a poster to show off fandom, right?  ^-^ I still have my CV64 poster from the original guide book :P So, I guess new awesome poster would be nice (:

6. A new game? Sure, but why a remake? Please - I don't want this franchise to turn into another milking clone like MGS or Final Fantasy.

7.  Return IGA; they just rebooted and retcon'd 24 years of our childhood and have rebooted the entire franchise. Which don't get me wrong - I enjoy the story of LoS, I just don't really enjoy the fact that they allowed the removing of CV64/CoTM/Legends and then did this? What about the original storyline? What the heck happened to Leon after Mathias escaped?  How does Mathias become the true dark lord? What efin' happens to Julius, which leads up to the events in Aria/Dawn? And not to mention: WTF?!  OoE just hinted by the binding of Belmont Blood (which can be seen in PoR but hinted very little.) so what the heck happens to Alucard (which wasn't -really- explained during the radio drama) or Shanoa?

So let IGA handle the original storyline and let Cox handle the reboot. I'm sorry - but we seriously need a miracle here and just hope that Konami doesn't crack out ye' ol  50inch spikes of doom from the sky bashes the fans in the heads, thus laughing at giving us another hype up. If they can  do it to the child franchise  known as Silent Hill or the other elder which is just being milked in the first place for a shitty engine (ps1; i.e Metal Gear Solid.) then honestly - Castlevania needs a perfectly good 25th birthday present and for its fans for all theses years.

So honestly, they need to stop "cox" teasing us. I don't want another lame ass 8-bit Simon Action figure (which honestly was kinda cool.) I really enjoyed the whole victorian era box gift set from the PoR set. I liked the fact they had released a few shirts, and a prop whip (with CV logo on it.) amongst other things, thus showing me IGA at least made the attempt in pleasing the fans with neat gifts and gags; but still - its 25 years so my question for you guys are...

Where

Is

The

Love?

I'll tell you where its as: Operation: Akumajo.

Note: This post has been slightly edited and changed to destroy and die down any profanity in my previous post as respect to the Modz. And of course I didn't really like the fact from a state from a fellow poster below of damaging the operation, which honestly I am happy to be apart of, alas I now feel as if I must walk the path of shame and ruin for almost hurting my fellow crusaders. :(

whats with all the profanity cartman?

Do you remember Konamistyle? they've always released some type of preorder swag with each CV game (the only exception was LoS i think). except this time it's the 25th, so who knows if they have something big in mind or we'll just get the usual

Sorry if this posted early, I apologize - I simply had seen it when browsing theses post! So if this is a repetitive thing, feel free to remove it mr. mods :)

  CastlevaniaLOS  David Cox
We are not going to be a part of any potential Castlevania anniversary. I cant be any clearer than that :)

 @CastlevaniaLOS  David Cox
People are asking me about the Castlevania 25th Anniversary. I just want to reiterate what I said before - My team has nothing planned.

Thank Lisa for that...

...Hey, that can go on your list too. What happened with her and Dracula? How did they meet? What were the real circumstances of her death (sans Succubus)?

Easy for you to say. That could end up costing more than I'd pay for one. Not to mention that I have to clean the nozzles in my printer every other time.

2. Fuck another Music CD. Who uses CDs nowadays? Seriously - I don't want to hear Bloody fucking your sister Tears for the 90th fucking millionth time since I was like...7?

Uh... I do.

And really, what's wrong with Bloody Tears?

I totally agree on this point, especially the timeline notion. LoS is a slap in the face to me. But really, you need to chill the heck out. I'm no prude, but you sound like you're ranting instead of giving an honest proposal. I am behind Operation Akumajo 110%, but the way you're presenting this could really undermine the credibility of the movement. If someone were to take a stand and then curse me out, I wouldn't pay attention to him at all.

Just some advice. :)

I don't see anything wrong with a "Castlevania Complete Works" style all encompassing art book. Nor do I see a problem with music on a CD.

I do not see a problem with it either.

However,

I would have a problem with it if it where the ONLY thing we got for the anniversary and nothing more.

That would suck.
