This is coming from an indirect source but according to some guy from the 1up board Paul Anderson confirmed at Comic Con that the movie was still being planned. That also means he is still involved somehow.

Yay? Nay?

It's a video game movie, so NAY is set on default until I see it.

It's getting a huge revamp to be based on LoS I bet.

Also, Nay. I don't want to see this happen. At all.

I wouldn't wish such a cruel fate on any LoS fan.  :(

If only movies were done by people interested in the universe or the story of the game(s) (or other things, such as books) and not by the "omg game movie lolol $$$$" fact, many movies would have been better.

Here is an (incomplete) version of the script done by Ian Jeffers. It seems to be based on Dracula' s Curse but it is clearly its own universe. I think it seems really mediocre but I suppose you can do a lot worse with video game movies.

Where did you get it? Pretty interesting, but yeah, kinda mediocre. I prefer the Studio 51 script (the guys who wanted to do an animated CVIII movie).

Why cant they just get the guys who made Van Hellsing? They obviously wanted really bad to make a CV movie but had to settle for something only slightly different.
Laura and Gabriel arrive in the deepest cave of the castle and... they find IGA.

They should go the Ace Attorney route for Castlevania; Make it as campy and close to the original video game as possible, that's how videogame movies SHOULD be. I would pay good money to see Simon whipping walls for pot roast and tossing axes at Death on the big screen. It would be a movie that only takes itself as seriously as it has to, and it would be right up Konami's alley for their goofy and lovable reputation.

Ditto. Even Silent Hill got fucked up in the transition.

And it's Paul Anderson, which means the best I can hope for is shit on a shingle.

He wasn't always a terrible director. Mortal Kombat is still the best video game film adaption, and Event Horizon was legitimately good. Too bad he hasn't made anything decent since the late 90s.

Why can't they just do the humane thing and this monstrosity out of its misery.
