This is almost a for-sure buy for me.  I'll have to see the reviews first.  I adore Contra 4 and Double Dragon Neon, and Wayforward has made a bunch of other greats too.

is it just me or does that look more Castlevania than the last few Castlevania games? lol
Even more reason Konami should let WayForward do a new Castlevania game!

Love name Draculesti Manor(making it sound Romanian) and Drake Von Vladstone(Drake both meaning "Dragon" and "male duck", and the Gladstone surname with the infamous "Vlad" added to it). I guess the little dialog was proper foreshadowing to later in the game.

Duck Tales was always begging for a more Metroidvaniaish approach, and I'm not surprised Wayforward (who're in love with the genre) added a map to this game.

I remember getting Duck Tales on christmas eve in 1990. I finished the game that very same night and was afraid to tell my parents because games are expensive toys! The great thing about Duck Tales was that I kept playing it, over and over and over. I actually think this might be the game I've finished most times. We're probably talking over 30 times or something like that. The game was incredibly easy, but it's still possibly one of the greatest platformers ever made, IMO.

This remake looks.... different. But I welcome that. I'll always prefer the 8-bit look, but this should be fun anyway. Oh, and if I know Jake Kaufman right, he'll do the soundtrack justice. *holding breath for Moon theme!*

I forgot to quote previously  :P
Although, to be fair, Mirror of Fate's levels are nice.

If I'm hearing correctly, looks like there will be both remixed and 8-bit versions of each song:

I understand the original cast, especially Alan Young, is there and that matters a lot.

God bless that archetypal grandpa for doing this, especially at that ripe age.

Oh, cool! There's a retail boxed release coming out for PS3!

Oh... Wait...

It's just a box with a download code and "collector's pin."

LOL, either way, I'm a fool for collectables. Sooo getting the box with the pin!!!! Hell, I might double dip by downloading it for the Wii U too(might get that FIRST) then the box when it's released! I mean, damn, Capcom's got my support on this one. If it opens up other "Remasters" like Chip N Dale Rescue Rangers or Darkwing Duck, FUCKS YEAH!!!!

That Transylvania level. They might as well be screaming "GIVE US CV" to Konami. And I sure hope they take the hint.  :D

If they don't decide to make the next CV in Konami Japan, I'm all into WayForward doing it (with Jake Kaufman composing the soundtrack).

Oh, fudge.

The coolness of the box art pretty much ensures I'll pay five bucks more for the retail copy.

I mean, I'm particularly nostalgic for this game. I remember getting it in my stocking Christmas morning with a bunch of chocolate gold coins. Mind you this was after we had already opened our main presents Christmas Eve night, so it was an immense surprise to find an NES game box stuffed inside that thing.

Still have the box, too, although it's pretty banged up.

Just gotta have the PS3 case to come full circle, I guess.

It's definitely a labor of love, and hearkens back to the original NES cover.
