Topic: Do you think Julius has a son?

The Sorrow games make no mention of Julius having a family. However, if he has no children, the Belmont lineage can not continue. Also, he had no memory of who he was until he was in his 50's, so even if he did have kids, he most likely did not train them, unless it was out of instinct. Also, if he did have kin, you'd think he would have brought him/them along to fight in the events that took place in Dawn of Sorrow. We will most likely never officially know, but what do you guys think? Do you think Julius has somebody to pass on the Vampire Killer to?

At this point in his life and what we know about him, then I'd say no.

As of right now, no.  But since 1999 is the end of Dracula, the Belmont line isn't needed anymore anyway.  There's nothing to keep him from fathering a family at age 50 though.  Especially with that beard.

I find it difficult to believe Julius grew old without wooing a lady or two & you don't need your memory of being a legendary vampire slayer to want to reproduce, unless he spent those years of amnesia as a monk or something I think it's still possible a new Belmont could show up in the form of the child he never knew he had or like PFG9000 said he could still father a child at his age.

That's what I was thinking. I brought it up elsewhere, but when Julius ventured out to battle Dracula and his forces in 1999, he was a year shy of being 20, and guys that age(hell guys in general) aren't ones to "save themselves for love". A strapping young man in the prime of his life, trained to be a badass vampire hunter, peak physical condition, handsome... I'm sure he's had a few ladies in bed, maybe even has a girlfriend. It's the late 90s, afterall, he wouldn't be a prude. Who's to say he didn't sleep with his special girl the night before he set off to face his fate? Who's to say she wasn't knocked up in the process. Julius would've never known about his child, and his girlfriend would believe Julius to be dead(he basically disappeared after that).

One really has to wonder what he did those years after he lost his memory. I mean, he didn't even remember his name, just "J".

I'd figure he's eventually start a family post DoS, though the novel suggests Curtis is his apprentice. Doesn't Curtis also use a whip?

Just because he's the one that killed Dracula doesn't mean he couldn't have a brother or sister that had to sit the fight out. 

Then again, maybe they didn't even do that.  If the 1999 thing was such a big deal, it's entirely possible that there may have been Belmonts fighting on other fronts besides the Castle itself.

If Julius fathered a son, he wouldn't know due to his amnesia.
I think Curtis would be inheriting the vampire killer when Julius retires.

Actually I think according to her backstory he is her older brother.

Hmmm, I know the Japanese wikipedia says she is either his sister or daughter because this is apperently left ambiguous on purpose. Supposedly, the gallery mode mentions this, but I can't find a picture or a video of it.

This has been on my mind for years, but they never even suggested any Belmonts ever had siblings. It's strange because putting your eggs in one basket is always risky. Then again, the immediate family connections have always been almost non-existant. Juste's about the only one who even suggests he met Simon in person.

CotM had at least some sort of sibling connection/rivalry with Hugh and Nathan, even though they weren't related by blood.

If they're gonna reboot Castlevania properly and the Belmonts will be the protagonists, I think they should make the clan seem more like a family instead of just a string of passing the whip around.
