You can also equip Dracula's Tunic for even MORE accuracy, baby

I've been pitching this idea for a while now & am waiting for someone to pick it up: a game set after Lament & before CVIII that has us playing as Mathias in his quest to dominate the underworld. Showcase his growing vampiric powers, and the final boss could be Galamoth.
I kid you not, RIGHT after I passed LoI, I thought up a similar idea. Mathias was searching for more souls to enslave. Never fleshed out the entire idea(just that Mathias would, like before, fool some hero into aiding him on his quest by telling him he was ridding the world of monsters), but I came up with a scenario where he goes up against the demon Haborym(fire demon of the Lesser Key of Solomon), defeats him and steals his soul gaining his fire manipulation.

You're idea with Galamoth is brilliant, actually. They SHOULD'VE made a game like that(but in the main line, not counting Kid Dracula). Play as Dracula(Mathias) usurping Galamoth's reign of monsters and demons, then banishing Galamoth to another dimension, or something. While LoS KINDA did that, for Gabriel, it wasn't his intention to become the Dark Lord. With Mathias or old CV Dracula, throughout the quest for square one, it would be his most true intentions to take full reign over all demons and monsters alike! Would LOVE to play that!!!

LoS was originally supposed to be an open world game, but they couldn't work with it because of the budget. That's what LoS2 is trying to bring back but I'm afraid that it won't deliver it the way I want it to be. And this has been my problem with the series. I'm expecting way too much from the series and I end up with a decent game but far away from what the trailers made me feel.

I want a Metroidvania Castlevania that is "VAST" in it's setting. A city sized map but with different areas. Travel around the world if you has to. It doesn't have to be just castles, add spooky forests, mansions, graves and lots of towns and side quests. The AI is very smart and can be be fought not by just button mashing but strategy as well because save them for the Zombies. I want a free open world where there is a day and night cycle like Simon's Quest but less disruptive and longer with positive/negative effects on enemies and the player. Add some random events, give the player decisions, karma systems, bring multiple endings, have emmersive replayibility after beating the game and have unique unlock able characters. Give a great multiplayer experience in which you can CUSTOMIZE YOUR OWN character and hunt the creatures of the night with your allies or... will they side with the foes? Have multiple factions of Vampire Slayers and Baddies. Make this the famous 1999 Demon Castle Wars. Make it like PoR and OoE but with Kaioken x10 and steroids. In my 3rd replay, fill me with awe as I get all "Holy Shit, you can do that?" "I never knew there were these secret area". Impress me, Castlevania, IMPRESS ME!!!!

I can't think of any, I buy pretty much every new Castlevania as soon as it's released.

A hentai game? Really? Come on guys, that's so lame.

I don't mind some nudity, and sexuality (that kind of goes along with vampires), but whole game focused on that? Yuck.

People mod Skyrim for the extra "sex" option, so its not really that disruptive. People can be perverted like that. Not that there is anything wrong with it, it's just their preference.

I've seen some of those Skyrim in-game vids. Needless to say it they were rather *A-Hem!* engaging. But when you think about it, it is a little more realistic in a sense. Man in wilderness sees woman in wilderness. Woman sees man. Will they fight like they always do? Like we always see them in other games? Or will they let their animal lust take over? I don't really see anything wrong with having a sex option in Skyrim. It doesn't mean that the game is suddenly a hentai game but it add to it and it's not something that you're being bombarded with all the time.

I'd be all for a SkyrimVania!

Even if it was a hentai game where you had to seduce all the womenfolk of the CV universe in creative and unprecedented ways, and/or Simon Belmont?

Actually I think that would motivate even more people on here to stick with the series.
And I would be one of those people  :P

That won't be a dealbreaker. They can even go the Tokimeki Memorial route where there's a girls side version and a boys side version. And I'd buy both. Hehehehe.
Me too  :P

There's already a H game that's official in the Valis franchise. Valis IV, if I remember correctly.
It would be nice as a side story, not to become the rule.

And to answer the initial question, this shouldn't be a surprise for anyone at this point, but if the music continues to stick away from what it always was, I guess I'd lose my interest in CV for good.
I might still play them, but with the same lack of enthusiasm I played MoF.

Though I have my concept of an ideal CV, I can accept pretty much anything (well, not anything, but lots of different visions of CV). I just need the music.

Somehow my post didnt appeared, but I said:
And I would be one of those people  :P
"Second me on that, if they add some girls on it. Its a shame that it really happened with Valis" or something like that, before even reading Pfil writing about Valis. :S

edit: forget it, its happened in another topic, thats why I felt that strange Deja Vu

Second me on that if they add some girls. Tragically this happened with Valis franchise :(

Given that Konami won't make it, we can just start the project from here, we just need some good Deviantart artists and some programming skills and remixes.
Let me write the story  :P

And speaking of Valis, I must be one of the few people that actually played it  :P

I WANT THIS TO BE A THING. Just class it up a little. Like Shiroi suggested, a Tokimeki type dual gender deal. Shiroi, Pfil, let's get a kickstarter going on this.
