If you put your music is bad, if you put classical music is bad. Good luck to the next development team take CV ..
I sort of disagree with this statement. If there's one thing that was never a problem with the franchise until LoS came along, it was the music. Be it brand new tracks or remixes of old classics - most of us REALLY liked the music in all games prior to LoS. And even if we have our own personal favourites, I think I speak for the majority of us when I say that even the "weakest" soundtracks in the series are pretty damn great when compared to a lot of other games out there.
Well, the only time I recall some people being upset about the music was when Harmony of Dissonance was released back in 2002. And then once again in 2010 when LoS came out, and more recently with MoF.
There are sooooo many talented composers out there, fully capable of creating new music that totally sounds like Castlevania. I'm confident that there are brilliant composers literally standing in line to make music for the next games. Hopefully it's someone who's actually a fan of older Castlevania music too.
Aruajo is a great composer but he's clearly not right for this franchise. I actually have a lot of respect for "forgettable" music - the kind that blends in without distracting, and just setting the mood and yadda yadda. If Castlevania didn't have a track record of some of the greatest, catchiest, awesomest melodies in the history of gaming, I guess I would've accepted the LoS/MoF soundtracks for what they are. Cause they're not
BAD. They're just.... not right.
I guess my point is that the next CV team is really lucky because they have 25+ years of brilliant Castevania tunes to draw inspiration from. It should be no problem to make CV-sounding music because it has such a strong identity.
