This is a color manual showed in vgmuseum.
http://www.vgmuseum.com/mrp/NewCV/manual-cotm.htm

HOWEVER, my game manual is a monochrome one.
And the info printed in the back showed: KRAZY RACERS ; KECO; KCEJ; KCET;

THIS IS AWESOME misprint!

Did you buy it used at a place other than Gamestop? A lot of smaller, personally owned used game stores photocopy game manuals and as a result you'll get a B&W one.

Mine's in color, just to clarify, but I bought mine used too. The previous owner just traded in the box and everything.

I bought this NEW sealed game on ebay recently.

I don't think this is a personal copy from a small store.
Its print quality is very high. Just like other mono GBA manuals.

The most obvious evidence is the RED characters in original manual is clearly WHITE in this one. If this is a photo copy, RED words can't be scaned as WHITE in the black background.

Here is another difference point I found between them.

On the PAGE 23, the color manual's font is different from previous page, but the mono manual's font retain the same.

There is no page number (23 with a sickle) on the color manual.
The mono manual showed them clearly.

My photo is so blurry because of my mobile phone's poor camera.

--------------
BTW,
The mono manual was printed in USA while color manual was printed in JAPAN.

Does anyone know how many COTM manual was printed in USA?
There must some reason for its two version manual exists.

If this is a bootleg, IT MUST BE THE MOST HIGHEST QUALITY BOOTLEG GAME MANUAL IN THE WORLD!

Have you ever see a bootleger draw two awesome sickles in order to consistent with previous page number?

SO, this may be a rare COTM Manual Printed in USA. Not so many  copies existed.

Another interesting thing.

The release date of COTM and KRAZY RACERS is same as 6/10/2001.

So I guess that this may be the original manual printed in USA, but they misprinted the game title on the back as KRAZY RACERS. Then the print mission was delivered to JAPAN.

Somehow this RARE manual was released in a LIMITED COLPIES.

IT IS THE SO CALLED FIRST PRINT LIMITED EDITION!!!

I think you're way too excited over something that nobody probably cares about. Now, I could understand if your SotN copy had artwork of Richter wearing Maria's clothing or Dracula with a bow tie and top hat...that'd be some exciting stuff!

Anywho, I doubt its some kind of crazy limited edition or rare misprint. Probably just a bootleg. And just cause it was sealed means nothing. When I got my Rondo of Blood and my CV Adventure they were both repackaged (The CV Adventure is still in it's wrap cause I have another copy, but the Rondo you can tell was used when the wrap was taken off).
What a horrible night to have a curse!

You guys could think its a bootleg.
But I suggest you guys ask KONAMI whether they print such a manual.

If KONAMI admit they printed this kind of manual, I wonder what you guys can say at that point.

Good luck asking Konami of Tokyo if they printed a manual for a game by Konami of Kobe, a game they retconned. :o

I seriously doubt whether a game's story is canon or not would have any bearing on that.  It's not like they're pretending the game itself never existed.

Hey, it looks like you even don't know the print mission of many US version Japan-developed KONAMI game manuals are done by KONAMI US.

These are the back of POR and DOS'manual. Their pages are all monochrome.

BTW, I can explain why this monochrome manual was abandoned even if there's a tiny mistake on the back.

Because this is one of the launch title of GBA. The reputation of KONAMI and Nintendo would  drop if this misprint happen, so they deliver the reprint mission to Konami Japan.

My only question is, HOW MANY COPIES OF THIS MANUAL BEEN RELEASED?

I bought a GBA and COTM when it first came out, so I don't know what to say, other than it appears that the run mixed up the back cover of krazy racer with your COTM.  I also want to say bootleg, but who knows?

It might be a later run because of the black and white booklet and the addition of numbered pages.  I mean, black and white books seems like a cost cutting thingy, which I assume would happen on later runs, as oppose to early ones

I'm waiting anyone who got the same manual as mine to stand out.

If it's a later version, the misprint on the back is unimaginable and unreasonable.

...which is probably why it's most likely a bootleg.
