The woman's name is "Laura the Jewler" and the man is "George the Musician". My guess it that you'll find jewels, similar to HoD and SotN, and be able to ell them to Laura for cash to spend at the Merchant's place(whoever he/she might be...).

My only (teensy teeeeeensy) gripe is the overuse of Make-up/EyeShadow (seems to be used on Men too).

One of my favorite parts of Castlevania was taking on sub-quests and finding food hidden throughout the castle after the game was finished... I'm glad that's being taken a step further.
