Research, research, research! I can't emphasize this enough before making a purchase. I knew before I bought my PSP Slim that it would require a component cable to play the games on a TV that uses component cable ports (progressive scan). I'm not upset about it at all. Well, of course, that's partially because I own a TV with such capabilities. Still, it makes sense, as the PSP has a widescreen, progressive scan display. To me, it just clicked in my mind that it would require the same such parameters to display (and play games) on a larger screen. But that's just me.

That being said, I hope everyone who bought a PSP Slim strictly for recording or playing games on a larger screen (and didn't know it required a component cable port equipped TV for such activities) can get their money back or find a better solution to the problem. Good luck!
