Character design uncool. What is this ? Guilty gear ?

obata is simply manga artist not painter. This characters not realistic "Castlevania not stupid manga" This game for fan Death note, this Konami's tactics.

I not like characters or Game "this fight"  Graphics standart 2000-2002 years.

We are not mind-closed, but optimistic. After i read the interview, all i can say is that i'll have to wait and see the game at E3, but this doesn't change the fact that i dislike the graphics!!

This game has some serious potential. Condemning it just because it breaks the mold is an irrational decision, imo.

Quit putting words in our mouths. Re-read our posts, because we never said anything like that! We said we didn't like the art style - That's it. We didn't say, "The graphics are gonna ruin the game. It's gonna suck because that art style is terrible!" The art style makes a massive impact on the overall game's proformance because it's a one on one fighter game.
Totally agree, man.

The most dissapointing thing of this game is the actitude of the CastleVania fans =/

I simply can't believe what i'm reading in the most of the cases.

And yeah, i'm a CastleVania Hardcore fan too, in fact the original NES title was my first videogame whe i was 3 years old, and now i'm almost 24.

I didn't expected that the rest of Castlevanis fans could be so mind-closed :-\

We're close-minded because we said we didn't like the graphics? If you disagree with our opinions, why don't you state yours instead of just sitting there and insulting us?

Well he wasn't REALLY insulting us.

I still think that while the game can prove to be good, that doesn't mean I have to like the art style or character designs. ...It's just a spinoff though, so there's no need to even acknowledge its existence if one doesn't want to. :P

You know, on my first post in this thread i said that i like this game, and someone tell me that i must leave the saga.

And no one said anything, i'd have to reponse by myself, so i could say that everyone agree with him

close-minded for disliking graphics? noooooooo

Just read the entire post, you'll understand me then.

I'm not gonna bother re-reading posts that continuously bash a game that's obviously still in the early stages of development. Some of you people are just like "lol this game is gonna blow i'm not even gonna try it because my mind is already made up!" Who woulda thought that Simon's absense from Brawl would leave others so bitter  :o

I'm not putting words in anyone's mouths, I'm just calling it how I see it.

Everytime I look at the graphics for this game, I do in fact cringe at how nasty they look.

BUT

Then I remember that it is for the Wii...so really it is unfair for anyone to expect it to look like some super high res masterpiece for the eyes like anything that would be on 360 or PS3. Remember...its the Wii.  :P

The Wii has had games with incredible graphics in the past. Look at Dragon Quest Swords. The graphics are awesome! (even though the game is terrible) Wii graphics can be very good.

Anyway, I just want everyone to know where I stand in this unnecessary arguement. I'm not saying the graphics are gonna ruin the game. Obviously, I'm going to BUY the game first and actually give it a chance before I say it's bad. It's also in early development, so they might improve. It looks like it has some potential to be a really fun game. So, people, stop automatically assuming the game is going to suck and give it a freakin' chance!

I never said I was NOT going to buy it. It's logical that any castlevania fan will buy it. Even if it's only for teh lulz. And if it turns out to be great, then... the graphics will still be the same. I don't really get what the problem is.

I never said anything about you in particular. I was just stating my opinion. I'm sure everyone here will buy it, I'm just sick of people whining.

Anyway, does anyone know anything about how Iga is going to use the motion sensing ability of the Wii-mote?

My biggest thing was never with the graphics: I just want to see the game play in action.  With any fighting game, that's always going to be my number one concern.

And as far as other posters being 'close minded': I actually agree with that statement to an extent.  Not in the sense that  if you don't like the artwork or graphics, that automatically makes one so (it was obvious that with the art decision, more so sense the characters in certain cases don't quite look like their original selves, and I'm looking at you Maria... ).

But I do agree in the terms of the people that literally saw one or a few screenshots and just jumped to conclusions that the game was automatically going to suck and hell, that's that.  Then there were some (and I'm not even saying here) that were like the entire darn franchise was in jeopardy for because of this one game.  Now THOSE people to me are close-minded.

Now if the artwork sucks, it just sucks.  It's a sad state of affair but, it happens.  However, if everything else is on mark, then I'm all for this game. As for the graphics, I honestly didn't think they looked bad but then again, since the E3 version is suppose to be a *better* build, we'll see.
