Shanoa was looking awfully dainty and a little meek from the artwork.  But once I saw her in action and heard her low voice and great fighting style, I'm reassured that this is in fact Shanoa and that she does kick ass.

The official site updated with Carmilla and Golem and a few new in game screen shots.

http://www.konami.jp/gs/game/dracula_wii/

Not sure if I like Carmilla's giant pocket-knife-esque upper arm sword.  Her disco-platform-bat-boots kinda suck also.

I'm also not sure why Mr. Golem is in this game instead of a character we all know and love.

I don't think Iga gets fan service.

When kotaku hates a game is always writing things like that, their firs impressions was like those ones, they are just not going to change their mind, that's all.

Most of the articles and impressions of CastleVania Judgment says that the game is pretty good and playable, are all these webs and magazines wrong? i don't think so...

one thing that i hope they improve in the game from the playable demo is the look on their faces when they run away from their opponent.  they look the exact same when they're running towards or away from an opponent and it makes them look like idiot dolls with no self-awareness as a result.  i'm sure that's one of the last finishing touches to worry about in making a game though.

Am I the only one who thinks the main theme from Judgment sounds too damn Christmas-y? The piano chords and the bells (orchestral bells, not chimey church bells) and how cheery and upbeat the song sounds just makes me think that everyone should be fighting in a snowy evergreen forest with lights everywhere and mobile reindeer statues.

It is a good song, and really catchy, but just too Christmasy.

It's a scary proposition: taking a beloved series like Castlevania and dropping its familiar adventure formula in favor of one on one fighting. But that's what Konami has done with Castlevania Judgment. Fortunately for series fans, the developers are giving players plenty of content to sink their fangs into. The depth starts with the character roster; in addition to previously revealed warriors...the game features Trevor Belmont, Sypha Belnades, Grant DaNasty (all from CV-III), Eric Lecarde (from Bloodlines), werewolf Cornell (from CV: Legacy of Darkness) and a few villains, including time-manipulating newcomer Aeon. The game has plenty of modes, too; there are personalized story modes for each warrior, plus you can engage in traditional Arcade, Versus and Survival Modes, as a well as a Castle mode in which you proceed through Dracula's abode, floor by floor, while dealing with certain restrictions. And if you're not convinced that swinging a Wii remote is the best way to beat the Count, worry not; you can also play using the GameCube or Classic Controller.

Found this over at Neogaf. Yet another confirmation of CV3 characters and Cornell, also Gamecube and CC controls!

I wonder how different Trevor will be from Simon.

You know, the first time I saw Golem, I thought that he might have been Grant in his ape form.

i'll laugh if they'll redesign grant to look like an arab/prince of persia like when the warren guy showed concept art for cv3 cartoon on his site. :o

Maybe we'll find out that Golem really IS Grant.  Then we'd have another character slot left unfilled.
Considering Obata's art style... yeah, there is a slight similarity. :o

I checked out the website to see the Carmilla and Golem, they look okay I guess. Didn't really have a problem with either of them. Kotaku says its bad? On my scale of influence, they aren't even in it.
