Actually, when a human tucks their legs under their butt like that, there
is some flattening and spreading out of the muscles as the weight of the torso is shifted onto the thighs, but that does look extreme.
Either her shin is uncomfortably physically in front of her thigh (meaning her inner thigh is feeling the weight -- OUCH), or... that's just not good art
