Its hard to see a giant boss fight like LoS has and NOT think "Shadow of the Colossus"
I´m not defending MS at all, saying that maybe they look forward to a different manner of boss fight, than the 3d action/adventure standart. There are huge bosses in Bayonetta, Devil May Cry 4, God of War 3, Dante´s Inferno, for mention some, that are awesome, but only one game (that I played so far) has a distinctive boss fight: "Shadow of the Colossus". It´s really entartaining to fight the colossi, but it´s anoying some times. The good thing is that in LoS, you only fight an Ice Titan, a Rock Titan and Dracolich (did I forget one?). I can expect something:*********PRESUMABLE SPOILER**************
that the fight with the boss in Resurrection (you know who will be) are going to be like that bosses in LoS that I mentioned before. Think in a 1 hour platforming fight to find a few weak points, to finally slain the grand boss. Maybe I will get wrong (I hope).
In other words, I think that MS is trying to emulate a not-so-recurrent form of fight a boss. I don´t remember other game that you fight a boss like in Shadow of the Colossus. Personally, to a Castlevania game I like to fight a boss like the aforementioned games. With QTE, or without them, but something unique to a CV game.
