I think I have all the information I need at this point. I just want the game now. This is like in the olden days when all you got was a few screenshots. I bought several games for both NES, SNES and Mega Drive from just looking at the cover art and a screen or two (or actually, my parents bought them for me). I could study screenshots for hooours, imagining how the hero would move, how high you could jump, what some strange creature in one of the screenshots was all about, what the stages would look like and so on. I want some of that back, and I'm starting naoow :)

Thats true. When I was young I used to enjoy a lot more games the lesser I found out about them. Later, with magazines I liked I was more informed about games, because then we could get more about them and be more eager to buy them. But now you have so much information, plus the filtration of info on the web, that you actually prejudice the game and you might get spoiled or worse, deceptioned from the final product. It happened to me with Dantes Inferno, the more I knew about the game the more it sucked, because the game has strong and exciting themes, but the producers misused them and ww were like falling in love with the game when the final product didnt even stand with the hype. Thus, I prefer to know less about this CV game, so I appreciate there is not much info arounf there, because I would be tempted to find out about the new info, and mysteries often attract more people, and even more with a well known franchise like CV. For example, Demons Souls is a great game because theur producers knew how to keep a secret and the reveled so little info that you was not able to know the game before it shipped. I like surprises, but I like this game right know!!!

I agree with both of You. Since few months already I usually don't look on materials that show details about the game I know I'll for sure play. I've done so with BioShock 2 and I don't regret it. Unfortunately if someone writes on website about specific game then it's not possible. That's why I hope MercurySteam will build hype without destroying surprises for us (because E3 is still coming... I'm happy and scared at the same time :P).

we'll due to the lack of classic enemies so far such as
Skeletons
Axe Armors
Peeping eyes
etc
and the NEW enemies introduced by MS and Cox
"GOBLINS"
and spiders this really doesn't give me the "feel" of CV.
also the High Fantasy enviroments also take away the dark gothic feel that CV is known for. it just doens't appeal to me as a Castlevania fan sadly :-\

Don't You remember the ending of the latest trailer? This with (probably) Dracula's Castle close-up? It has most epic look from all Castlevania castles to date, so don't worry - MercurySteam knows what they're doing. I think they will use the contrast between those less dark areas at the beginning and those final ones. This would increase the atmosphere of the game steadily, with culmination near the end of the game.

I'm pretty sure they don't show us most interesting materials because those should be the biggest surprise in the game. ;) But maybe some of them will be shown on E3.

I actually welcome the changes in many aspects of the franchise. There are only so many weird demon maids you can stand before Konami and IGA try to make a serious look for the game. Then again, castlevania games have been mostly limited to a handheld market geared towards children, so I can't fault them completely. The entire look of the game may not be what we are used to, but it's heading towards a more horror related look, and that my friends is what Dracula should be about.

There is only one thing I don't want these guys to mess up regardless, and that is the fundemental quality of the gameplay. You can have bad graphics but we would still play the game if it's that well done. But a game with all spit and polish, but no substance is not what the franchise is about. CV:Judgment has proven that fact...

Sometimes I question that some of you have even played all the castlevania games. If you have you'd realize their were spiders before in castlevania games.
Also, there was an armor guy fighting gabriel in the last trailer. Sure it wasn't an axe armor but it was an armor enemy regardless and they were in previous castlevania games.

When people like you go into little details like this just to complain about a game it seems silly. The fact is YOU DON'T know all the enemies that are gonna be in the game and to nitpick like this is just silly.
Plus the goblins/orcs are not new they were in COD too. ( Shockingly no one complains when IGA does these types of things but they do when a newcomer does.)

who are you again?
or you the king of Castlevania or something lol? because if your telling me that you have to remember EVERY single minor enemy in ALL the history of Castlevania just to be a Castlevania fan then i would have to disagree. can you honestly tell me that off the top of you head you could name EVERY enemy in the history of CV?
because if so you not a fan your a ADDICT that needs some fresh air ;D
and who are you to question whether people have even played Castlevania games?
please don't talk down on people like you actually better then them ok. if you have a point to get across then fine but you don't have to be a jerk about it.
fact is the point i was trying to get across is when you add Goblins into a High Fantasy brightly lit world it doesn't give off the castlevania feel. if you can name 1 castlevania title that has had Goblins in a high fantasy setting then prove me wrong. i'm simply stating that all the enemies i listed haven't been shown in the trailer not to mention we haven't seen many of the Dark gothic horror setttings that Castlevania is known for but instead we have been getting enchanted forests and brightly lit mountains and such. i'm still hopeing and waiting for the inside of Castlevania to be shown since i hope they may stay true. all i'm saying is the currently its not drawing me in as a CV fan thats all no need to get all defensive and rude

I am the king of Castlevania. Yes thank you!

Sorry I get annoyed when people complain about things that don't make sense when looking at the big picture. Kind of like complaining that the world doesn't look Castlevania because it doesn't have gothic areas when we've seen plenty of gothic areas including the castle a few pics within the castle ( that look more like a real castle than the previous two 3d entries).

WTF do you mean when you say HIGH fantasy setting all of this stuff is fantasy? Just because theirs areas in the daytime? So what? In castlevania 2 it changed from day to night. Their have been pics where its pitch black and raining with lightning in the background it doesn't kill to have some variety. Not everything needs to be moody especially considering those pics with the goblins are from the beginning of the game.

I'm just saying there are legit things to possibly complain about like them ditching a whole storyline of characters and rebooting....but to complain that we haven't seen skeletons yet or saying spiders don't feel castlevania like even though they have been in castlevania seems so small like you are trying to find things to complain about.

I'm not saying you have to like everything or we should all be happy about this game but please find something legit to complain about not something we aren't even sure of yet like if a skeleton is in the game. They showed very little of the game so obviously we won't know all the enemies yet.

The goblins and spiders were in previous games, and I'm pretty sure the orcs/goblins shot flaming arrows in a daytime setting in COD. Nothing against you but a lot of people don't complain half as much about IGA games which have much more "ridiculous" things within them yet a game that seems to be developed really well is getting complaints about the smallest things.

theres a HUGE diffrence between high fantasy and daytime stages.
and you don't know wut high fantasy is lol?
i don't feel like explaining it so i'll just show you a link
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_fantasy
essentually its the feeling you get from Harry Potter and Lords of the Rings wich is a BAD thing for Castlevania in my opinion.
this pic inperticuelar that just completly gives of the High Fantasy feel

and also how we haven't even heard not 1 CV soundtrack but instead have been getting music that instead sounds like it belongs in Lord of the Rings also gives me the impression that they are mostly going for a high fantasy feel.
know we have yet to see inside the Castle so i agree that we really shouldn't be jumping the gun but i still am having my doubts "currently"
and i also hate how they are rebooting the Storyline also and have complained about it on many forums and vids but lately that hasn't been bothering me as much as the newer pictures being introduced are

Well again you are nitpicking. They've already stated they will have remixes of old music within the game along with new music done by 120 piece orchestra.

There's plenty of things within the castlevania universe that aren't gothic and have a silly high fantasy feel to it... Like the water level in Rondo of blood where you ride the little raft thing down a waterfall....Like seriously?  All I'm saying is it feels more lord of the rings ish because now its in 3d in 2d its harder to get such a feel...

You act as if their aren't any gothic or dark environments and if there wasn't i'd prolly understand your complaint but the fact that there is and there seems to be a lot I don't get the complaint at hand. Especially because theres been mystical type forest stages for as long as i remember.
