I mean, who the hell do you think are you talking to nsideus? seriously, he is the director of the game! he knows how to make his work, whoever you are, you are not his boss or something, have some respect for him and his work.Seriously ,this is disrespect of the highest order. Good Lord save us from Sigeru Miyamoto x1000!!
I can't believe there's people like this, seirously, this world is fucked up. Destructoid is right, videofgame fans are douche bags, but this is even worse, I just don't have words. If I were MS, I would simply DON't MIND ABOUT FAN OPINION, with people like you, if these are the fans, so why bother about them? let's release the first thing we have in mind to whoever wants to play it. If Mr Alvarez comes here to read our opinions is because, hey ,they care about it, but with people like you, disrespecting to the maximum creator of this work, I understand if they just leave forever and make CV whatever they want to. we don't deserve them, is that simple.

And I won't stop to telling you, you are a shame nSideus, a disgrace, how dare you... you are a douchebag. That simple.

Why don't you just shut up for a second. There was nothing "disrespectful" about nsideus' post. He took what the supposed director said and questioned it. Just because someone's working on a game doesn't make them immune to critisism. Holy fuck.

Good job being the biggest suck-up ever, Ahasverus.

You could try letting Alvie speak for himself.

Just a few comments:
Direct/area attacks in LoS are not weak/strong as it is in GoW. I know it for sure  ;)
I didn't say you control your attack in 3D in LoS. I said combat is 3D.
About my comment on analog sticks, I assumed we were talking here about a specific genre.. Of course console shooters use that scheme -I've heard that, because I never played one :)- but we are not talking about shooters or sports games, aren't we?

I'm beginning to doubt Dtritus is actually from MercurySteam.  That last response didn't really address my concerns at all.  Either he's a developer trying to patronize me or he's someone pretending to be a developer.  He could've come on here and just looked, but since he posted and identified himself as a developer he should be ready to address our concerns.  I can hear "it's not GoW" from the developers all they want, but I know what I played.  And it is worthless arguing with the rest of you until you have played the game.  Has anyone else here played the game?

Also, I'm sure the guys at MercurySteam are all under NDA.  They don't work at Konami.  Konami wouldn't want them directly talking to fans about the game Konami is paying for.  Dave Cox can talk because he works for Konami, not MercurySteam.  I don't think the Director of the game would risk his well-being to come talk to us.

It's funny cause my friend also went to e3 and he said the exact same things you did.

How much like GoW is "like Gow" because that can very ALOT. Like people say Bayonetta, NG, DMC, Darksiders are "like GoW" but none of those made me bored like GoW did. This right now, if my only fear... that it is alot like GoW to the point that I'll be bored to hell and back. You're the 2nd person, I think, that said it already and I already expressed my concern after hearing it the first post but no one ever said how much like it it is.

Loved that trailer.  Not entirely sold on the music yet but I'm sure it'll fit the game nicely when I start playing it.

I do agree that if medusa heads *are* in the game, it'd be nice to see a screenshot and that would probably get a lot of people off of their chairs.

Lastly, ahasverus, chill out and please consider spending some time away from the computer before posting again.  If he truly is a developer, he is perfectly capable of defending his beliefs himself and he doesn't need you acting like a 5 year old trying to beat up other posters because of a discussion.

I think all the pissing & moaning is gonna be for nothing. I'd be willing to bet that when LoS comes out all the people who are crying about it will fall in love with it.

It's not easy to get a feel for a game when 1.) You haven't actually played it, and 2.) The only vids of it are a couple fancy trailers and some rough gameplay footage---OF THE INTRO/TUTORIAL area no less. That hardly encompasses the scope of the whole game. There's lots of characters, 50+ stages/areas, and a fully orchestrated score, which is promised to include classic CV tunes. I think people need to friggin' RELAX. LoS will deliver.

It's JMHO I know, but I think LoS is shaping up great and I can't wait to get my hands on it.

Gabriel IRL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xq9Rwss-Vpg&feature=related

One thing that's really missing from the whip in the game is the *Swoop*-*Crack*, *Swoop*-*Crack* you get when swinging around a real whip.  It should sound painful when an enemy is getting hit with a whip.  Not this slicing through everybody ninja crap.  Someone mentioned the chains from Ninja Assassin and that's exactly what the Combat Cross feels like.  Castlevania is the original epic whip-wielding game and it should be leading the pack when it comes to innovation in whip physics in games.

And for those of you who are saying "IT'S ONLY A DEMO", would you be saying the same thing if the demo was mindblowingly awesome?  Would you be saying "lol it's only a demo, the rest of the game probably doesn't live up to the demo"?

yep, the impact the whip made on enemies is a bit of a disappointment.  maybe it'll sound better when not heard in a crowded room or a trailer?  hope its only a minor irritant.

I really loved the whip cracks in LoI. Though, considering the combat cross isn't a leather whip, maybe it would sound different.

I think what people need to realize is that a chain "whip" isn't really a whip. There is no *crack* when swinging a chain whip. It's really just a chain, and this one has spikes on it.

Well maybe it shouldn't be a chain with spikes on it.  A chain with spikes on it sounds a lot like a chain with blades on it, and well we all know who uses that weapon...
