^ Whatever.

Hmmm, so a twitter user noticed that "Dark Lord"'s skull in the trailer is similar to Cornell's, Zobek's and Gabriel's, so,
I noticed this for awhile, I think the Brotherhood of Light itself has a connection to Dracula or something terrible from the War that's being used as an origin story/basis of lore for this timeline.

The man we see sitting in darkness in the trailer is most likely another Lord of Shadow, I honestly don't think he's Dracula.

Well, yeah a plain skeleton can't really look more than a plain skeleton, but the original Castlevania ones comically chucked bones. That was what made it original and interesting.

Also, I don't get Ahaversus's
Quote
calling LOS generic is like calling Castlevania 1 "Rubbish" or "wacky" or Belmont's revenge "bland".
Actually, the whole concept of the original Castlevania was golden. A barbarian facing a gothic castle is a very unique concept. Some of the enemies were pretty memorable too, like the skeletons again. Hell, I would actually call the Axe Knights pretty original just for the fact they toss axes. Not gonna talk about LoS~

I get what you "mean" Ahaseverus, but saying they are "forgotten" is jumping the gun(which you're known to do quite a lot, actually).

I do get that some of the songs wouldn't fit, but looking at the clockwork tower demo vid, and Lost Painting works pretty well(as does Ghostly Theater), actually. Not all of Yamane's Castlevania music is pumping and rock driven. Though, I'd imagine music like "Followers of Darkness ~ the Second", which actually fits nicely with the Ice Titan battle footage, though I'd imagine most of the boss battles would use faster paced music in LoS anyways. It would be boring even everything in the OST is purely orchestrated movie-esque stuff. I mean, even movies, themselves, don't always go with the pure orchestra score. Some parts in a movie call for it, others something else. I mean, it's not like Yamane's music for LoI and CoD was all beat pumping. They went with the classy, slow movie-esque songs during cut scenes. There can be a balance between orchestrated music and action music.

But yeah, right now it's hard to say if there won't be organ music in this game, because there's a lot we haven't seen. Same with monsters.  45 different monsters. Here's hoping they are all unique looking, and not reskinned models(like in LoI and CoD).

About the music; Dave Cox has said many times that we will recognize several of the tunes in the game so I wouldn't worry about it. They may not sound exactly like they did in the original games, but they're in there! The reason we haven't heard much of it yet is obviously because they wanna keep it a surprise. People worry too much.

Really? you think the guy sitting in the darkness looking like Dracula isn't Dracula? The only person I can think of who that could be is.....a really REALLY old Alucard.

If the dude sitting in the dark is not Dracula, I will eat my preordered copy of the game.

Maybe.

I predict he is dracula and he will reveal himself like this...

Of course it's not forgotten by "us" but by the gaming media, hell, people don't even know Cv III exist "Oh yes you know! the one with Alucard and Simon Belmont!"

Of course it was, however "LOS is generic, where's my Yamane wah wah wah" comments are similar to those wise people waround the net who says: "Castlevania only got serious in SOTN because CV I was a disguised Indiana Jones with silly cliched monsters and bland 80's conan-esqe protagonist ugly as hell, oh and it was an unplayable mess because of those hell spikes I never could pass through durr durr durr it is shit durr durr long live Alucard hurr durr!!"
Seriously, they are as relevant as those.. it's substance over style guys, it's what CV has made through its long sweet existence,,, it has never invented the wheel, it just makes the most awesome gothic action horror adventure wheel at the time.

I loved how Vampire Killer sounded at the end of LOS trailer, it's just like I have always Imagined the song would be used, as a "Belmont Lullaby", I swear I've had this idea since a long time ago and by the way it sounds in the trailer it looks to be some kind of musical box... could it be that Gabriel's father (drac?) left it when he abandonned Gabriel? -- Excuse me, there's only 3 weeks left, my internal fanboy fiction has just started :P --
We've also heard waterfall and it sounded amazing, respecting the original song yet haunting.. also Beginning if you have good ear, in the aqueduct video, also sounds awesome, there's a confirmed Simon's theme in there... I don't have any doubts, this will be one of the best (if not the best) scores of the year, let alone Cv series in general. However, what matters is how it fits into gameplay, I remember how BAD I felt playing the foggy forest in Ecclesia listening to that "Latin Rumba" type song in the background. THAT was really idiotic. It killed the momentum. Ecclessia has awesome tracks, but it also suffers from the worst placed music ever in a CV.

About monsters... I don't how where you took from the "generic" part, all of what I have seen except for werewolves (How different COULD a werewolf be? unless you like twilight of course...) is very original and atmospheric, those coffins, Baba Yaga, the Lords shown in their monster forms, the Titans, the butcher is also insane, Malphas... all have been very good, breathtaking even (sometimes) so that's the last of my concern.

My biggest concern overall is how will they keep the game fresh through 25 hours without feeling non-cohesive, aside from that, all what I've seen is the CV of my dreams... ok perhaps i dreamt about Alucard someday however I have hopes MercurySteam will reimagine that character again as he deserves, as a dark warrior proince not a gothic emo pussy  :P

It's confirmed that the Three Lords of Shadow, (Carmilla, Death and you know what blue satelite...) are the "Founder members of the Brotherhood" they found God's mask in a quest so, if "The Dark Lord" also has a brotherhood symbol he may be another "hidden" founder member.... OMG, I just remembered that Zobek's descendant from an ancient bloodline of the order... hummm... this is beggining to feel.....  :-X

No, he's not a LOS, becuause we know 2 of them and we also know the man is NOT Death (I asked Cox) and the third LOS is a necromancer.. duh, the third one is Death. I think he's who Claudia calls "The Dark lord" in the aqueduct video.

I'm thinking the musical box belongs to the little vampire girl in the trailer with the crazy hair. She seem to live in some dark nursery, with giant, disturbing dolls that you're gonna have to fight. I bet she has the musical box with "Vampire killer" playing too :)

You definately fit the mold, though. You've been praising LoS since it was announced, only recently you've decided to take your head outta your ass :P

I wonder how the Keep will be handled. Will it be the "traditional" Keep we're used to? I remember CoD's Keep, it was very awkward... I hope LoS doesn't try to mess with it too much, if it's there.
