WOW DID G4 REALLY JUST SPOIL A MAJOR PLOT POINT

REALLY

I hate it when reviews pull this kind of shit, that was totally uncalled for.

"For a game called Castlevania it's not really...Castley!"
Again, someone expecting another Metroidvania. This is really annoying to hear in EVERY SINGLE review.

I don't know if its just me but I watch some of the reviews and I don't see much talk about CastleVania. Not sure that to talk about what makes this game CastleVania would be too much to ask. Seems to me all the reviewers seem to gloss over what makes this CastleVania perhaps they aren't familiar with what we might find signficant. Annoyed really of all the mention of GoW copying and so and so forth. I will admit that perhaps alot is left out in the reviews due to spoiler risk but who knows.

One thing that was revealed is that the vast expansive landscapes won't be that vast and expansive. I do hope that although linear in style that should be at least some exploration to some extent and not carbon copys of rooms and rooms.  I mean sometimes I just like to cruise around in a game find interesting things admire the detailed textures and find easter eggs.

Time will tell.

7.9 is really not a bad score. Gamers today expect everything to get 9.4 - 10.0 or else the game sucks.

I agree with you completely on this.  Hell, I've played games that were given scores in the 70's and I thought they were better than a couple of games that hit in the 90's.

It's all about personal taste in games.

Seems to me most of the things the reviewers are griping about is just little nitpicky stuff. Virtually everyone seems to like the game overall except for a few small things, which most of us diehard CV fans will probably overlook or at least deal with.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Sucks! Part 2 Review Reaction

whos this guy, calling himself the truth in almost every video? i've been seeing a couple of is videos and god hes annoying

Also on the reviews, i think some of the reviewers think castlevanias story and game needs to happen inside a castle, which makes me think if they played the old games

That's how it's gonna be here in a couple weeks. We are gonna tear this game apart & nitpick about things too so what's the difference?

Why all this interest in these reviews?  The gaming press is full of trendy nimrods.  I'm not suggesting they're all bought and paid for --although that's a dubious possibility in some cases.  But there are a number of problems...  First of all, quite a few of them do not have adequate time -or perhaps- even the desire to play through all these games before writing their reviews.  How can anyone provide a fair and accurate review by sampling just a fraction of the product --especially if it's something that didn't necessarily interest them in the first place?  Do you remember when Dracula X Chronicles came out?  There were a few pussies out there in the gaming press that bitched and moaned about how hard that game was...  Gimme a fucking break!  You call THAT hard?  That sort of bad press has driven hardcore classic gaming to near extinction --and dumbed-down games that could otherwise have been fantastic.  Lords of Shadow actually looks like it has some hardcore gaming balls.  I'd really hate to see this reboot fail just because a few spoiled nimrods can't handle a real challenge --and end up scaring off the target audience.  Nobody in the industry --including Konami-- wants bad press over game difficulty to kill off their sales.  The gaming press should stick to the news and leave the judgements to the players.

OH!

That Youtube guy really needs to pull his head out of his ass and play the game before he rips it to shreds.  What an asshat.

Wow, more kick in the balls for the US players who want to demo it.  So is the game releasing in the US on the 5th or 8th?

They're releasing the demo on the same day the game is out, the 5th. WHAT THE FUCK.

Epic fail on Konami's part.  That's bullshit.  No advertising let alone a demo on the day the game is released.
